Do you think curvy women (say a UK size 14-16—US size 12-14) can carry them? Especially when they’re not too tall? ![]()
Re: Pencil Skirts
If the limbs are slender.
Re: Pencil Skirts
I think so... pencil skirts are so lovely, but u have to have something of a wasit to wear em..ugh.
Re: Pencil Skirts
As long as they don't have a 'muffin top' type situation going on they look fone.
Re: Pencil Skirts
If it ends right at the knee, it can be done. Also, a very non-fussy/fitted top along with elongating pumps so it gives the illusion of longer legs.
Re: Pencil Skirts
yes if you have a bit of a waist
Re: Pencil Skirts
If you are pear shaped then yes but if you are apple, then no.
Re: Pencil Skirts
It can definitely be done but there has to be a defined waist.
Re: Pencil Skirts
I was hourglass then became apple. I have a waist but I’m still applish. I think I’m gonna have to wait until my tummy disappears. ![]()
I love pencil skirts though. I have bought myself a nice grey marl sequin top and I was planning to wear it with a skirt.
Re: Pencil Skirts
Yes if worn with tummytuckingbridgetjonespants.
Re: Pencil Skirts
Really?! That’s interesting…apple shapes naturally have a wider waist than hourglass figures and when they gain weight, most of it goes to the midsection/stomach.
Re: Pencil Skirts
^I became applyish because the ratio between my waist and upper and bottom part of the body has gone smaller so i consider myself apple instead of hourglass.
reminds me of my sewing teacher, she has very huge bum and I think she is a pear but she calls herself hourglass. ![]()
Re: Pencil Skirts
lol…from what I’ve heard, most women consider htemselves the wrong body shape…
this article has the four basic body shapes (hourglass, pear, ‘straight’ and apple) and then the variations within the 4 core..
