Ever since, ban on using cell phone without hands-free while driving has been implemented here with a good chunk of money and points on driver’s licence that causes insurance to rise, people have become a bit cautious though still do it but of course fearfully…
For me, I have only got like what 4 tickets in my life so far … all for parking time expirations
Once I was driving in Jersey and went onto 50-55 MPH in a 30 MPH zone and boy I was caught right in the parking lot of my office
Cop’s friend was actually working with us in IT dept. as ASP programmar so he gave me a minimal ticket of seat belt - which did not have points back then…
other than that… so far, I have never been pulled out..
Mates ...Still waiting for yr views regarding Implementation of penalties points in Pakistan ….
As in most of the big cities we do have computerized licenses thesedays … So in your opinion , what are the possibilities of having PP system in Pakistan
Lets say atleast for Highways and Motorways in start ?
I am not too sure If my story is related or not. But it sure was a lesson for me.
Once at about 1-2am I was driving to my friend house. I started listing to my voice messages on my cell phone. I stopped at red light at same time a message from a female friend started. I was kind of waiting for hearing from her. So message got all my attention and I didn't realize that light had turn green and I was still in middle of a high speed road. All of a sudden a big ford truck passed by me at speed atleast over 100kmh. I was like where this guy came from I thought I was the only one on the intersection. Then I saw light tung back to red. I saw shocked.
I mean if that truck was coming in the same lane as I was.
IMHO penalties are crucial fear factor (laaton ke bhoot batoon se kahan mantay hain )
yaar maan tau jaayeN agar sirf apnaY aap saY honest ho jaayeN :)

yaar Aliyish as much as we need it there, it is also sad that implementing this system means more ways of corruption.
In Pakistan, they need to first over haul the system - the police dept. and the merit system including reasonable salaries...
Implementing this system without taking care of the root simply means Chor baazaaroN kaa baazaar garam.!

that sure is scary but whose message were you listening to???
What about Motor way Police .. Aint they getting good package ?
I have heard that they are more efficient and organized the regular traffic Police ... Recent updates please]...
Therefore starting PP system from Motorways seems quite feasible to me ...
yeah. That is possible. I hope they do because it's about time. I know about their summon system and lates equipment but as for point system, they can surely do it. Who's gonna do that in Pakistan though:D?
