Yes. There is a long list both in film Industry and literary circles. Do you know the real names of Ibn e Insha and Ahmed Faraz?

Aurangzeb.. jis ne na to kabhi ek namaz choRi na kabhi kisi bhai ko zinda choRa. but heard that this is not true story, as Zeb un Nisa was around 40 years younger than Aaqil Khan

In literary tradition, Mirza Asadullah Khan wrote by pen name- Ghalib
hindi writer Premchand wrote as NawabRai in Urdu :)

Ibn e Insha = Sher Muhmmad Khan
Ahmed Faraz = Syed Ahmed Shah (his brother Syed Masood Kausar is governor of KPK)

I know him as a poet and he was good. He did some controversial poetry and probably attracted fatwas of kufr against him

aate hain gande wale jokes bhi Ghalib ki poetry se ( not to be quoted).

Faraz was most popular poets and therefore people use his name in nasty sms. Not everyone knows the reason you were referring in one of your posts above

His fame did not earn him respect..........although many people don't know the story but, i have a feeling he deserved that however, we are no one to judge people by their acts and only Allah knows the best.

in india yusuf khan changed his name to Dilip kumar...

some actors changed their names so they may suit their on screen presence..

like rajesh/rajiv bhatia become Akshay Kumar

Harihar Zariwala become Sanjiv kumar

Aur bhi bahot actors hain

right only Allah knows best. People didn't stop from saying bad things about Paighambar and Aaliya and Faraz was just a poet. He was famous and he expressed and acknowledged public love for him in these words:

aur "Faraz" chahiye kitni muhabbatein tujhe
k maaon ne tere naam pe bachon k naam rakh diye
