Somehow… this guy got bail… BOL TV took it direction in support of waqar of our country. Now PEMRA got notice from interior ministry… lack of security clearance of directors…

Bol is Army sheltered TV so I wonder if its Govt trying to retaliate against Army’s tweet after notification for Dawn leaks.

it appears so. But how that guy was released and bailed out from the crime he committed? It is strange in Pakistan you get scott-free with any crime if ‘holy cow’ is backing you up.

If by holy cow u mean the armed forces then its not necessarily true, case in point, many other significant cases such as PM Gilani, Ayyan Ali, memo gate, Shah Rukh Jatoi, Child abuse case related to Kasur kids, etc. If Bol was sponsored by the armed forces, the govt. would never put their hands on it. Besides, the govt. would never have taken any action against Axact had it not been reported for fraud by the foreign journalist.

BOL was financed by the illegal money from AXACT.
AXACT owners could not be prosecuted because they were being sheltered by ISI.
They were rescued from AXACT case so that they can continue with BOL.
BOL then went on to become the mouthpiece of ISI - the highlight being blasphemy allegations against the abducted bloggers.
It is amazing that the govt had the guts to shut it down. Should never have been allowed to start in the first place.

If there was any backing by ISI, all the action that had taken place would never had been taken in the first place. The govt. was forced to take that action (arresting Shoaib Sheikh and shutting down Axact) due to disclosure from a foreign journalist in a newspaper article which was published and govt. had no choice but to take some action. They did not do it on their own initiative.
