This film looks interesting… directed by Mubasher Lucman who happens to be the son-in-law of the current foreign minister, shot in some far eastern country, the crew and the technical stuff all being top notch… *ing Zara Sheikh, Resham and some new guy
You’re right there - it has been in production for eternity. They had some issues with the censors and then the industry was going through a really bad patch last year [still is, though], so they delayed it. But it looks good - it’s about this girl (Resham) who’s tricked into marrying some freaky old guy (Nadeem Beig). Looks fantastic, the music is wonderful.
It looks unlike any Pak film to date, and if promoted well, should have a successful run at the theatres. Gives me hope that we can do it.
Unofrtunately none that I know. I’d saved the trailer [its pretty spectacular for a Pak film] on my comp for a few months - could’ve uploaded it on this site, but dang, I only deleted it like last week So until they fix the glitch on that site, I guess u’d have to wait!
TheNewWannabe, I share your views. We all want to make and think that we can actually make a good film - it’s quite another thing to actually MAKE one – it’s a massive, massive task! Kind of scares me…
If you want the promo then you haev to unblock pop ups on your computer or else you cant get it.
Also if closing down was an answer to any problems I would run away from home and not stand up to my responsibilities and help make a positive difference when I should and must..You dont close down an industry you sit together and think of ways and means to salvage and prosper it..
Part of Resham’s interview where she talks about PPP
We have heard a lot about this movie cal ‘Pahla Pahla Pyaar.’ When it is going to see the darkness of the theaters?
The movie is almost done and will be released in January.
And you are playing the main lead?
Kind of! I play Zara’s stepmother.
Zara as in Zara Sheikh?
Yes!
But weren’t you apprehensive about playing this particular role? The two of you must be from the same age bracket?
A good role that is a good role. At this stage that is all I ask for. It’s a different role with a wide margin for performance.
Do you think this movie will bring back the naraz audience to the theaters?
That I can’t promise. Lollywood is on its last leg and a mere Pahla Pahla Pyaar can’t change the equation. One director, one actor, one producer, one actress can’t change the whole scenario. We cannot rely only on Saima and Shaan or on Sangeeta and Syed Noor. Our industry needs a complete makeover. http://www.pakwatan.com/main/fashion/article_detail.php3?t1=400
wooooohoooo!!! resham is zara sheikh’s stepmom…now that’s interesting! The step daughter [Sheikh] is apprently also hitting on step mom’s [Resham] ex-flame [the Tabish dude]… that sounds like an explosive story now!
