I just watched that film on youtube, and have to say it makes for some rather laborious viewing. The story was fine, its the execution – which means basically everything else like screenplay, dialogues, acting, direction etc. which suffer. The positives are the music, some decent acting by Resham (she must do away with her raspy dialogue delivery, however) and Zara Sheikh, the locations (as if we’re reviewing an Animal Planet documentary here), the wardrobe and the overall slick look of the film. The dialogues are so awful, and you cringe when the actress playing Nadeem’s secretary or something says “pur-sun-al ass-istunt is vary vary pur-sun-ul.” Lucman, come on, you could have easily gotten your cast to adlib their lines better! Look what Samina Peerzada got out of rustic Meera in Inteha, I mean.
The only redeeming quality of the film are its nicely done sing and dance sequences, even the background music is sucky and lifeless. Oh, and don’t even get me started on the hero…
