peers...r they for real??

hi all. from personal belief ..i have always avoided the “peers” or fortune tellers as others call them . however, one fine day…a friend of mine told me how these people can tell things..and told me to try and see for myself. i thought she was crazy into believing in such mind playing games. for the heck of it … i went to one of them whom ive never met before.

so i sat down and he looked into my eyes and began mentioning things about my past. i couldnt believe it. how could a total stranger know so much??

is it " shirk" if we believe in them?

has anyone had any similar experiences…

There is nothing wrong with “peers”. They are “pahonchay hoye” people and can turn your life upside down. Gupshpu has it’s own peers. Pir Fraudia is one of them. I tried some “peeri faqeeri” a while ago here

with all due respect..khan sahib..please tell me how they "the peers" can turn someones life upside down....and change their destiny when Allah Ta'ala has already pre-ordained.....

the real Pirs are not some the jadoo/tona/taveez/potions type of con artists that you see everywhere.

The real Pirs are spiritual, wise people who can serve as teachers, mentors, guides. I would not suggest that they have supernatural powers or anything. But that they have a lot of wisdom which can help people.

I think when khan sahib wrote about a pir turning your life upside down, its not much different from anyone else doing it. It is a bit futile to go into pre-ordained v.s choice as it comes to life. But have you never made a decision which changed the course your life was on?

What if someone can guide you, whether it is a parent, a teacher, a counselor, and/or a pir.

A Pir is nothing more than a wise spiritual and knowledgeable person who uses the wisdom and knowledge for the betterment of people around or those who come to the pir for advise.

Pir Fraudia

btw, some have accused me of being a fake pir, thats not true.. a fake pir is someone who is pretending to be the real deal. I just pretend to be the jaali pir, so when someone says that I am a jaali jaali pir, the 2 jaalis cancel each other out and thus make me a real pir..confusing innit?

thanks Fraudz(pir sahib). what you have said has given me a better understanding of peers. but what i dont understand .... is it really possible to change a person's destiny through his/her actions?

p.s: dont blame me..but i too got confused when i saw your id..Fraudz.. :)

my family name is pirzada, thats why some of mypals call me pir sahab and its just kinda fun to act like a fake pir for kicks.

as far as someone changing destiny..maybe you should not look at it in literal terms but people helping you make decisions that have a profound impact on the direction of your life. does not have to be pirs, but also parents, teachers, friends..

Pirs were influential and respected wise people, people would listent o them and maybe make decisions that would have positive impacts on their life...and in that way you can say that the person's destiny was impacted. do pirs have the ability change whatever is divinely planned..no. hope that clears the confusion.
