i mean a learned scholar? or do they all mean something different
because I have a friend who claims they all mean a learned scholar but people from different countries have given their own names or call the learned scholars that
is it true??? I mean when in Pakistan someone talked about a peer we thought they were crazy in the head to believe em…
and anyways my own relatives back home have a peer saab whom they believe in so much and consult and now it’s his son who runs the “business” i suppose since the peer saab passed away…
They are just titles. Anyone can add titles to their names, does'nt mean much. What really counts is what they are talking about how they walk the talk.
Imam Shafa'i once said if you see someone walking on water or flying in the air, do not believe him; unless you see him adhering to the Quran and the Sunnah.
I would use that quote to make the statement, no matter who the Sheikh, Peer, Imam, Ameer is...he should not be followed, should not be believed in, unless you see him adhering the Quran and the Sunnah.
which is true, because I for one can tell you that the system of Bayah in all four Tareeqah is based on the same rules. You are baya't to follow Islam and its tenents. You must start praying five times if you do not. You must follow Islam in totality first.
peer is usually enitled to those who've got followers. like as peer and murshad
i**mam **is who u follow during prayers usually jumma but shia's have a diff meaning for imam such as thr 12 imams starting with Ali ibn abi taalib RA and hassan and hussain RA etc. i think it means a religious leader as well
sultan means a king yaani sultan of saudi arab etc.

I dont believe in Peer & faqeer and neither do you have to ... All the real peer and faqeer within their lives you cannot find them as they are always busy in praying at distant places and dont have the time to sit down and collect 5rs from everyone... Real peer Faqeer pray for themselves and when they reach a certain point they also include ppl in their Dua's..... But they donnt come in to public up till their death. As some of you would know the peer of Golra shareef & peer of Bari Imam ... They prayed in such places like caves and stuff you get scared in the day seeing them ... but they spent their lives there to gain Allah's happiness.... But never came in public and said i am a peer come and give me 5 rs and i ll give you a taweez. Well after their death the ignorant ppl have made their tomb as worshipping place which i think would be hurting their souls. As Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said dont make my Roza a worshipping place (i.e dont let ppl do sajda to my Roza) well thats what happeneing to these real peer and faqeer's tombs .. If they would be alive right now they would beat up each one of those ignorant ppl that made their tomb a sajjdah Gah.
Real Peer Faqeer came to public near their death and were buried by their relatives near their praying place.
Well all they did was to protect themselves from hell fire ... As they say every man for himself .. thats the case here no peer can save you from hell fire or can cause any disease to go away....
Well as the case of Imam .. as we are Sunnis we believe that 4 imams of our deen i.e Imam Noman Bin Sabit & Imam Shafi etc (RehmatuAllah) gathered all the Islamic teachings and spread them in to Muslims ... They all made different Books but the same basic teaching... they always discussed on the best way to do a certain thing e.g Nimaz with Rafah Yadain or without it ... etc ... But this discussion was only on Islamic teachings..... But they all Respected each other more than anything in the world ...... This whole teaching of these four Imams who gathered it from Sahabah (R.A), Who learned it from Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH), makes they Muslim community which is named Ehl-e-Sunnah Wal Jammat ...
As i used this word more often....... as in Quran it is said whose summary is .. The deen is complete and whoever adds or subtracts something from it is out of it ...

Peer - is one of the most wrongly used word in islam-Its correct meaning being marred by those who have used this word for thier worldly benefit-
Its actual meaning is the person who along with following sunnah in its truest of sense , is given the ijazah to help others do thier tazkiyah- Any one who claims to be peer should only be considerd as such if along with his having ijazah he should be a follower of sunnah -
Any one who do not follow sunnah is a kazib in his cliams of being a buzurg-
rvikz there is no religious hierarchy in Islam....
there is no supreme authority except the Quran and the Sunnah....
no scholar, no matter how "big" he is, can issue a verdict against these two....
and no matter how "small" a person, if he issues a verdict which conforms to the Quran and Sunnah, his verdict is to be followed....

Ijazah/ijazat is the confidence which ulema have on a certian persons taqwah and his ability to help others purify themselves.

Yes we are entitled to help fellow muslims- But is’nt it that * nadan doost say dana dushman behtar hay * we may harm by giving him ghalat mashwara and are unaware of this-
Giving advice is separate from guiding ( by the will of ALLAH ) the person to the state of TAqwah
