Re: peeling at home??
go 2 www.makeupartistchoice.com,i used 40%glycolic acid peel at home and feeling great, now i am going to use 55% or maybe 65% at home, its safe
Re: peeling at home??
I would personally go to a professional for it. Glycolic acid peels are the mildest peel types. If you want a deep peel, you will have to go to an esthetician, or for the most invasive peels to a dermatologist. Estheticians can perform peels with ingredients equally around half to 65% of what a dermatologist would use, and they have access to more powerful chemicals than people without a license in most cases.
Re: peeling at home??
^ just wanted to add that one of the major reasons I'd suggest going to a professional is because they can assess all the contraindications you may have to having a peel. You don't want to end up ripping skin off your face because you aren't trained to perform it.
I blv that the first couple of times shud be done under the supervision of a therapist/doctor and accordingly find out what strengths u can use at home. Please don't put on anything on u're skin unless a doctor has seen it..
It's best to get it done at the clinic as they know exactly how long to keep it on for, what sort of peel u need (lactic, glycolic, salicylic) and the concerned area's.
Re: peeling at home??
Do not use a peel for the first time without talking to a derma first! Every person's skin is different and a doctor can correctly asses what strength you need and what kind is right for you.
Speaking from experience...go to a doctor and have them do it.
Re: peeling at home??
Wouldnt get peels. Period.
They are not good for the skin in the long run.
Your skin is exposed to get a bacterial infection
And they are costly.
I just dont understand why people obssess with spending so much on products and services and opt out of eating healthy and taking care of themselves from inside.
