Pedophilia Molestation among Mullahs

Re: Pedophilia Molestation among Mullahs

If there is such a process in Florida, I do not know of one masjid at least in this state that makes the process transparent.

Where I work, we have two masjids. One small musallah type place for students at the University and the other is a community masjid, that I’m not sure if it’s actually an Imambargh for shias, because we have a huge shia community at the Univ.

No one answers their emails. I’ve emailed them asking to get involved, and no replies. I’ve called them - no one picks up the phone. There are no postings for events, in fact, there really ARE NO events, unless the students post it on their facebook page. They tend to go quiet for long stretches of time because they’re all working to get into medical schools (surprise on that one). Some are actually doing other stuff but regardless, they’re busy in their studies and come up once in the semester to breathe, and their events are for their own students. Ages 19-22 generally.

Otherwise, what they do with the money - who knows? How they elect their leadership? Do they appointment? Background checks? Resumes ? None of it is public. I’m not sure who the imams are even that speak. They may be legit people, but as a woman who sits on the other side of the curtain, we have no way of knowing.

The masjids in south florida are a little more transparent, but still - no documentation of what gets done with the money and how Imams are chosen, and how leadership gets chosen. In fact, been emailing one of the masjids to get on their board as a female, and no responses.

To date I do not know of any youth on the panels, except one guy who I heard is TRYING to get on the board for one of the masjids.

I’m not sure about Orlando and Tampa - they seem more organized, but their websites are the same. Often not updated. No real information. No real attempts at organizing the community for events, and if there are events, they’re not well advertised. If there are facebook groups, you’re on your own to find them, because God forbid they put a flyer up or a posting in the masjid when you go for jummah.

And even if there is some organization, like woop dee doo a facebook page, often times it’s not updated, and there is no transparency about selecting leadership, and no transparency about the money.

I just rely on the fact that the FBI has spies in every masjid and if it’s still running, then hopefully it’s still legit.
