Nido is a milk formula and Pediasure is a sort of food supplement. If your daughter's diet is really poor and she is above 2 years of age, you can use it I did give it to my son, from age 2 till 4.5 and it was good enough. But remember that it is quite filling and child's appetite can go further down. I used to give it to him in the evening, on days when I felt he hadn't eaten enough but eventually he liked it so much that he started refusing normal milk. But I didn't have any issues with it as such. I didn't make much of a difference to his appetite since it was already poor :)

Jazakallah crystal.......I hav started pediasure with her. I give her 4 oz in the middle of the night when she is crying (these days she is waking up in the middle of night nd crying coz mostly she is sleeping without dinner). I also give her 4 oz in the evening or noon. There is not much change in her appetite. She still eats 5-6 bites nd then run away,,nd still refusing to try new things.
But now im mentally t peace that she is getting nutrition she needs for the growth.
may i suggest something else? can you get your daughter to be involved in the cooking process? let her help out with making meals and she might be interested in eating what she makes. try not forcing her for a couple of days and see what happens.

It's totally upto you but I'd suggest that you do not give it in the middle of the night. Instead give it to her just before she goes to bed, and then brush her teeth. Because Pediasure, especially the chocolate flavor (infact all the flavors) has sugar and it can totally ruin her teeth if she doesn't get them cleaned afterwards. I'm speaking from personal experience. We had to have a Root Canal Treatment at the age of four, not to mention getting several cavities filled, because of it.
If, you can't stop the midnight pediasure feed, the least you can do is try to clean up her teeth / gums with a wet soft cloth after the feed.
You can include a 2 yrs old in the cooking process by letting her mix ingredients, get her a small bailan and give her real dough to make tiny rotis. My little one loves eating her own bite sized parathas. Of course she doesn't get to fry them :)
