Peace Talks: AF-PAK

Those who are questioning whether or not the United States is abandoning Afghanistan, or the region post 2014, and those who are launching allegations that we are jeopardizing peace talks in the region, we would urge you to please read what we have to say to you.

We understand there is a lot of uncertainty spreading among people of the AF-PAK region as wide variety of media reports and analysis are presented almost on an hourly basis, however, no one should doubt the fact that the United States desires peace and stability in the region. For those who understand the concept that all states work for their self interest, should know that peace and stability in the AF-Pak region is in the self interest of not only the United States, but also of international community at large as social and economic prosperity comes under stability and security. We are determined to aid Afghanistan develop beyond 2014 so that it does not fall in the hands of foreign terrorist organizations. It would be naïve to believe that Afghanistan could reflect a developed nation at the moment, but we hope that through working together we can gradually help this nation improve in the sectors of military, government, education, infrastructure etc.

For this goal and for the benefit of the Afghans; we have supported the Afghan government’s decision to hold peace negotiations with the Taliban. Let us make it clear, the reconciliation and reintegration is an Afghan led and Afghan initiated process and we support their decision. **In the same theme, we believe that the Peace Talks with the TTP is an internal decision and issue of Pakistan. However, didn’t the TTP conduct attacks even after the Peace Talks were approved by the All Parties Conference? So isn’t it unfortunate that even though they have been killing hundreds even after the Pakistani government offer of peace negotiations, still people are blaming their “refusal to come to take part in the peace talks” on the United States?” **

Re: Peace Talks: AF-PAK

The peace talks between Pakistan and TTP would have most probably failed, but we have seen how much you consider them to be Pakistan’s internal matter. Most of the attacks that took place during the past few weeks have been carried out by groups based in Afghanistan, has US acted against those groups?

And by the way when is US droning Mullah Radio and Omar Khorasani who are living under your noses (in Afghanistan) for the past three years?

u lost the war.. slipper wearing men defeated a world superpower. ur words are not worth my dirty shoe! pls go home stop interfering in our affairs u good for nothing country

Re: Peace Talks: AF-PAK

Kill Radio NOW and we will start believing your intentions. Else, please don't waste your energy and our time. Period!
