Does anyone have PCOS and used homeopathy for it?
I have used metformin and i hated it sincE I ended up getting more facial hair than before and then the doctor said I have a thyroid issue as well and IMO it just made things worse for me.
Now I am using homeopathy (sepia 1000 once a week) and it is working very well
I am regular but it is late at time by 1-2 weeks.
Please share your experiences and if you have gotten pregnant by using homeopathy.

Re: PCOS & Homeopathy
Metformin is to counteract the pancreatic and metabolic issues that accompany PCOS. I have not used homeopathy (because it is ineffective and only a placebo). I use hormone replacement (as that is a primary symptom of PCOS that leads to the hirsutism -excessive hair you have described).
As for homeopathy, please refer to this.
Three potency scales are in regular use in homeopathy. Hahnemann created the centesimal or “C scale”, diluting a substance by a factor of 100 at each stage. The centesimal scale was favored by Hahnemann for most of his life. A 2C dilution requires a substance to be diluted to one part in one hundred, and then some of that diluted solution is diluted by a further factor of one hundred. This works out to one part of the original solution mixed into 9,999 parts (100 × 100 −1) of the diluent.[75]](Homeopathy - Wikipedia) A 6C dilution repeats this process six times, ending up with the original material diluted by a factor of 1,000,000,000,000. (100 × 100 × 100 × 100 × 100 × 100, or 1006). Higher dilutions follow the same pattern. In homeopathy, a solution that is more dilute is described as having a higher potency. Higher potencies (that is, more dilute substances) are considered by homeopaths to be stronger and deeper-acting remedies.

In other words, the LESS of an active substance in the drug (i.e. the more water), the more potent/strong they consider to be.

I was on metformin for waht i can remember for like 1 month while pregnant. then my doctor i don't need to take it...my sugar was fine....i was just little anemic so she prescribed me iron....my baby was born 1 month early...thats all. I am not fat or anything...usually metformin is for ppl are obese. I haven't check with doctor about insulin...I just have to exercise...thats it.
I have PCOS but im unmarried, so my dr. has put me on the oral contraceptive pill, she initially gave me hormone replacement therapy but it was ineffective the pill is working, in that my periods r becoming regular but the facial hair is still a problem
As far as homeo medication is concerned, i was advises agaisnt it 4 PCOS, beocs it makes ure skin worst, anyhow i tried it out but with no avail :( :(
Re: PCOS & Homeopathy
I have PCOS and have also suffered recurring miscarriages.
I have no cysts just the syndrome - which means obesity and excess hair.
WEnt on Metformin for a few years - no effect that I could see.
Before the miscarriages I had no issues, had regular periods etc etc.
I recently went to a homeopath in Leicester and have been getting treatment for 7 months. Ma'shallah, it's working for me.
The facial hair reduced, skin has cleared up remarkably......periods have become regular and insha allah this will lead to helping me conceive.
The thing with homeopahy is not how much you take, but the regularity with which you take it. It costs a lot, but it's worth it for the result I am looking for.

I had a question about the excessive hair growth associated with PCOS --what is considered excessive? Brown people often have "excessive" hair growth compared to white people anyways, especially in areas like arms, legs, upper lip etc
Thanks

For me excessive relates to hair growth on my face - side of face and chine area and also on my back and below my neck area. Alham du lillah I don't have hiritism(?) as they call it. I have random odd hairs popping up on back/lower neck and a fair bit of hair on chin and sides of face which is all controllable
Yeh apne do have more hair than goreh. I don't think it's anything other than the fact that our hair tends to be darker so it's seen more
