I have PCOS. I am on border line of having and not having it. So i don’t fully have it. But my hair have thinned over past several years and i struggle to loose weight.
I am taking spironolactone. Is has helped with the regrowth of hair but my hair are still thin. I have noticed that hair are growing from roots but don’t grow long enough to catch up with other and i loose alot. I used to have very thick hair but now too thin. I want to have my hair back to being very thick.
Those who have PCOS how do you cope with Hair loss; thinning of hair and even weight gain??
i hv the same problem n i also dont know wat to do where to go bit i'm thinking to consult with a gud relevent doc...often i become so hopeless n stressed u know how painful PCO is in sense of side effects...
Get your insulin levels checked! I have PCOS too and now I have to go in to get my glucose/insulin levels checked - after that my doc said she'll give me metformin (meds) to help bring the levels down and in turn it should help with the cycles and ovulation issues related to PCOS!
metformin is very commen med in pco but hair thining problem is another issue as a side effect of pco.metformin does help in periods regularity but not abut the facial hair or hair thining issues...
I am on metphormin, and i take iron tablets but my hair still falls in huge bundles, in fact the more times i brush my hair, the more it falls :( very very distressing
