PCBs novel way of boosting Teams performance

20% bonus if you win a match.
20% match fee deducted if you lose it:)

I just heard it on BBC. I dont have a link sorry:) But I like this strategy.

Here you go:

Pakistan threaten players

Pakistan players are to be fined in future if they perform badly or prove to be unfit

Under the plan, players will lose 20% of their match fees for every match lost but receive a bonus of the same amount when they win

**Senior team-members currently earn around 300,000 rupees (£3,300) for each one-day international they play. **

**The team physio, trainer and doctor will determine the amount of fine," PCB spokesman Sami-ul Hasan said. **

:jhanda: Kewl!

yeah Austrailian too follow almost the same system !!
good thing!

lets hope it works. But I believe that the rub lies somewhere else. Anhow...

In my opinion there should be no bonus.....they don't deserve such things....just punish em if they lose thaz all....

No match fee if you lose to INDIA. :D

There wouldn’t be because we kick your ass :hehe:

Paki Tiger,
Could you translate that in English please...

Did I say that in Spanish?

Here you go:

Pakistan Kicks India’s butt!

:rotfl:

I like that they would get 20% bonus for winning, but don't you think getting a paycut after loosing would reduce their confidence and they would feel like being used.
I think its a bad decision for getting paycut after loosing.

Nope.

Certainly notta bad decision! It ain't gonna lose team's confidence. In fact, it will make them to play every match as a World Cup game.

This is just sad. I hope the ICC interferes and stops the PCB from treating its cricketers like cattle.

PCB includes performance payment clause in player contracts
Pakistan Cricket Board - 28 October 2002

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has included Performance Based Emolument clause in the original players contract that was offered to the Zimbabwe-bound players Monday.

The new 7.2 clause reads:

Performance Based Emolument
a) For ever one-day or Test match which is won by the Pakistan team, a player will be paid additional 20% of the overall match fee including slab fee, tour and additional fee. This will be in lieu of the victory in the particular match by the team.
b) From the overall match fee including slab fee, tour and additional fee, there will be a deduction of 20% for every one-day or Test match which is lost by the Pakistan team.

Slight modification has also been made in the clause 8 that now reads:

**Fitness/health
8.7: There will be a penalty of upto $1000 on each individual player who is reported unfit or not upto the fitness standards required for international cricket. The team phyio/trainer and doctor shall determine the amount of fine. **

Incentive: The case incentive clause for individual performance remains unaltered. For example, if a batsman scores a century in a lost match, he will get Rs.100,000 as cash incentive but will also be docked 20% as per Performance Based Emolument clause. Similarly, a player scoring a century in a win game will get Rs.100,000 as incentive and an additional 20% of the overall match fee including slab fee, tour and additional fee.

The following is the break-up of individual performance incentive:

For every 100 scored = Rs1,00,000
For a haul of five wickets in an innings = Rs1,00,000
For four dismissals in an innings by a wicketkeeper = Rs1,00,000
Four catches or run-out by a fielder = Rs1,00,000
For 200 or above in an innings = Rs2,50,000
For six or more wickets in an innings = Rs2,00,000

And this deal is getting even more stupider, players will now be fined for being injured, what kind of pathetic decision is that, whomever made this up is the biggest idiot in the world.
So if a player injures himself during a game, he will be fined for it.
What such stupidity.
Why don’t you fine players who leave their country behind like Wasim Akram, Saqlain Mushtaq, Abdul Razza and Shoaib Akhtar to go play in England for extra cash, they should be fined heavily.
These people make me so mad   :smash: :mad2: :kaboom: :rocket:

Alright guys. Get ready. It seems Shoaib is gonna file bankruptcy really soon. :)

i think datz da brilliant idea
.

Another stupid decision on part of PCB!!!
