Javed Miandad, the former Pakistan captain and current director-general of the PCB, has said the board is under a lot of pressure from the public and the media to include ICL players in the national team. Miandad supported the move, and accused the Indian board of “bullying tactics” that have caused players to suffer.

Not happy about Clive Lloyd’s comments in the media that the Indian Cricket League (ICL) was good for the game and that both the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the rebel league could co-exist, the Indian cricket board has apparently requested the ICC to remove the former West Indies captain from its cricket committee
Re: PCB under pressure to pick ICL players - Miandad
BCCI has started acting like UMREEKA now and this will give birth to Cricketing-Al-Qaeeda and nothing else!
Its always taught to business students to use their authority and powers "sensibly". Of course there is a "enough is enough" point for everyone and soon we will see different boards hitting that point one after another!
BCCI have no right to dictate other boards n ICC,PCB should remove the ban from the ICL players as the pakistani team is suffering
Yes. Effectively, the authority to overturn the bans on all players regardless of their nationality have to come from BCCI. Is Miandad speaking at the right time? I doubt it, why did he come out with such comments when the situation between two countries for the upcoming series is up in the air? That does not make sense to me. Instead of keeping things quiet (not a trait in Miandad), he spilled a can of worms. This was not the right time for Miandad to be bringing such statements about acceptance of ICL.
No board is standing up to BCCI for the time being. For PCB, that is the last thing on their minds. Does PCB have any support from anyone? Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, England? Every board have banned it's players from playing international cricket, and that includes Sri Lanka. Bangladesh is also suffering heavily as half their team turned into Dhaka Warriors. Is PCB fighting it's own battle? Seems like this issue have gotten move coverage in PCB than any other board.
Next thing we know, BCCI might ask PCB to remove Miandad from Director-General position of NCA.

may be Miandad wanted to show the signs of things to come to BCCI IF they cancel their Pakistan's tour.....or may be he is just a khala-khairan who can not hold anything :)
I think, its more to exert pressure on BCCI to let the indian team tour Pakistan in January. And giving them a heads up that in case they cancel the tour or ask to play somewhere else, Pak will accept players playing in ICL.
Re: PCB under pressure to pick ICL players - Miandad
Muhammad Ilyas who is the father in law of Imran Farhat (an ICL player from Pakistan) has been nominated by PCB as coach of the junior team. Does BCCI guide lines to other board say anything about SAAS SUSSERS of the ICL players or he is good to go?
Remember how Farhat’s father-in-law took it upon himself to threaten then-selection committee (which consisted of Salahuddin) for forcing Farhat out of the team. Since PCB have started with a clean slate now, it continues it’s hiring-firing process. Interesting question nonetheless.
(Personal comment: BBC has near-impossible to read Urdu font)
Question: What professional qualifications does Farhat’s father-in-law have?

Btw, I'm also interested to know the Qualification of Farhat's father-in-law. What made him appoint the coach? As Abdul Qadir is also made chief selector, I clearly see that all those who were strong critics of previous managements in PCB are given very important positions by the new managment.
I remember once Abdul Qadir coming on TV and strongly criticizing Board for not taking his son in the national team.
