What u think do we need an another coach ???
Pakistan’s cricket authorities will sign a six-month contract with Australian bowling coach Daryl Foster later this week, they said on Wednesday.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will enlist his services for the World Cup, which starts in southern Africa on February 9, and for its cricket academy programme.
“Foster will assist the Pakistan team bowlers in the World Cup and after that return to Pakistan to work with the academies programme,” PCB official Samiul Hasan told Reuters.
“He is coming to Lahore this week to sign the contract on Saturday. He will join the team in South Africa,” Hasan said.
It will be the third time Foster, a recognised veteran bowling coach in Western Australia, has been signed up by the Pakistanis.
After working on Shoaib Akhtar’s bowling action in Australia two years ago, he accompanied the Pakistan team to England in 2001 as bowling coach. He later returned to Pakistan to hold coaching clinics for budding fast bowlers.
“The PCB believes that our players can benefit from Foster’s expertise and also his advice on our academies programme would be invaluable,” Hasan said.
Pakistan already employs South African-based Englishman Richard Pybus as its senior team coach.
Hasan also said Pakistani players would have dope tests before going to South Africa for the World Cup.
Pakistan cricket officials have confirmed that the tests would be conducted on all players in the World Cup squad with the results available before the start of the tournament.
“The tests are being conducted basically on the lines of the anti-doping policy announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC),” he said.
