211 all out

Re: PCB Patron’s XI v England XI, Rawalpindi

Well, it's not a highly disappoiting performance against good England bowling attack in tough conditions.
Let's hope ther batsmen keep on struggling and go into the Test series low in confidence especially that jaanwar Pietersen otherwise he is gonna make us suffer badly.

Re: PCB Patron’s XI v England XI, Rawalpindi

England 39/6 in 2nd Innings.

Re: PCB Patron’s XI v England XI, Rawalpindi

^ whoaa!!

If by sporting, PCB meant such pitches, then we can expect three day test matches.

Re: PCB Patron’s XI v England XI, Rawalpindi

lets have these guys play against Engliand in the series too :D

Re: PCB Patron’s XI v England XI, Rawalpindi

Yasir has taken 6 wickets in the match so far, all bowled. :k:

Re: PCB Patron’s XI v England XI, Rawalpindi

Yasir arafat is goood. And Patron's batting wasn't bad at all.

Re: PCB Patron’s XI v England XI, Rawalpindi

Once again, fine performance against a formidable English batting lineup.

Irshad 7-2-22-3
Arafat 2-1-1-2
Najaf 5-0-11-1

These young bowlers have done two things:
1. Raised hopes for Pakistan prospects
2. Hopefully, gave a wakeup call to the senior Pak bowlers, competition has arrived.

Re: PCB Patron’s XI v England XI, Rawalpindi

Yasir Ali, whose figures were 4-2-21 in first innings before he had hamstring problem is one of the FASTEST and MOST talented in Pakistan(He bowled Pietersen n 1st inning). He took 10 wickets against strong South African academy team followed by another 4-5 in next match. He is 19-20, very tall, well built and bowls with Pace, bounce and swing, so he is another one in the ceompetition.

Gul, Najaf, Irshad, Yasir Ali, Yasir Arafat, Samiullah Niazi, Waqar Ahmed, Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Khalil,Riaz Afridi…DAMN!!! Talk about competition:p

Re: PCB Patron’s XI v England XI, Rawalpindi

instead of opting for these up and coming fast bowlers we are hiding behind 35 year olds has been (mushtaq) and another 30 something never been (arshad).

Re: PCB Patron’s XI v England XI, Rawalpindi

Lets re-annouce the team for the test games and lets not make a change in Patron’s XI

Fine performance by our youngsters. ppl can say that english team is “rusty” and they “havent played cricket from 6 weeks” but hey once again this is professional cricket and our youngsters have bowled their heart out! :k:

Re: PCB Patron’s XI v England XI, Rawalpindi

Mashallah :dhimpak:

Re: PCB Patron’s XI v England XI, Rawalpindi

All this talent and we are still sticking to freakin 30+ OLD dumbs who PCB selectors think will perform against the English. I hope one bomb goes off in the room where these selectors are trying to come up with the test squad.

Re: PCB Patron’s XI v England XI, Rawalpindi

BTW, we shouldn't be reading too much into this match. Does anyone of you remember Taufeeq Umar how he blasted Indian bowling in a side match? It was same player against same bowlers and couldn't do squat in an ODI..... why? Pressure. So we should just hope that our 'seniors' can do what our juniors did (atleast bowling wise) in this match.

Re: PCB Patron’s XI v England XI, Rawalpindi

CricInfo headline : "England collapse again" i just hope and pray to read this very words again in the coming weeks. Ameen

Re: PCB Patron’s XI v England XI, Rawalpindi

Wow, amazing performance by the bowlers. If they hadn't played cricket for 6 week, Pak hadn't played much cricket for 3 monthes. I hope our batting click in the 2nd innings.

Re: PCB Patron’s XI v England XI, Rawalpindi
