Yes all those chief selectors from Karachi have been so prejudiced. Just look at the team selection in last couple of years. So many non-deserving players from Karachi in the team given such long runs for years despite repeated failures, at times almost the entire team is from Karachi with only one or two players from Lahore. This ethnic injustice have to stop now and no players from Karachi should be allowed to play in team Pakistan to make up for what has been going on.

Fawad deserves another chance but the rest of the names I mentioned didn't look the part. Traditionally most of Pakistan's great batsmen come from Karachi (Hanif, Zaheer, Miandad, Saeed Anwar etc.) and if Shafiq is the best batsman (he's been given more than enough chances, will you not agree? Asad belongs in tests imo) then we certainly have a problem

Apart from Asad only in Tests there is no good batsman from Karachi yet .........Yes Fawad deserves another chance but Please dont bring Khalid Latif Khurram Manzoor and Shahzaib Khan

Your post sure raised doubts on Moin and other selectors just because they are from Karachi while evidence shows that players from Karachi tend to get short end of the stick.

Fact is that batsmen from Karachi or Lahore are not coming out with exceptional talent and performances. Some of it is because of the way chopping and changing has gone in selection. IMO a young player selected should be given atleast five or more matches to show if he has what it takes. Some time good players can have one or two bad matches in the beginning and some time mediocre player get lucky in first few tries.

Of the present lot, I think Azhar Ali needs to come back to the ODI team. He was the best batsman in Sri Lanka not too long ago. He has been labeled a test specialist but at the run-rate the team scores in ODI these days he will do fine.

The players from Karachi that deserve to be given a fair chance are Fawad Alam (tests), Shazaib (T20), Sohail Khan.

The team composition at the moment in ODI seems to be out of balance with not enough specialist batsmen. This team has only four specialist batsmen Jamsed, Shahzad, Misbah and Asad. Another specialist batsman (Azhar Ali?) instead of a bowler or all rounder would balance the team and address the weakness of the team.

Pakistan has gone wrong with Whatmore for coach. The team's approach is too cautious with batting. Whatmore gets the blame for not controlling that and not convincing Misbah to be a bit more aggressive. Mohsin Khan was delivering results and was aggressive. He should have been retained but he is from Karachi... :) All IMO off course.

For sure Whatmore has had no impact. And this will most likely change fast if Moin has his way with Sethi. Most likely Mohsin will be back or Rashid Latif will be new Coach of Pakistan National side. Maybe... :D

Umar Akmal is a specialist batsman but because our batting is so flimsy he’s been asked to keep wickets as well. The management want a w/k who can bat as well. Don’t need so many tuk tuk players in the same team. Because of earlier players’ tuk tuk or overcautious batting approach, UA was just left with too much to do in the 2nd ODI. Even Hafeez often struggles to rotate the strike. He is woefully out of form with the bat at the moment.

They have put extra burden on UA just to make sure if he fails then he is dropped seriously UA is not ABDV in disguise

I am actually not happy with judiciary having the power to sack PCB chairman etc. It seems like they are overexercising their powers. It is not even Supreme Court but Islamabad High Court.

ko har baat mein taang araney ka kya shoq hai be it Musharraf or Zaka Ashraf etc. He is acting like anything but an impartial judge. It is like London High Court sacking ECB chairman in response to a petition! WTH

This is the problem with desis. Power kissi ko hazam nahin hoti. Everyone wants to flex their muscle

Commonsense would dictate that they should have allowed Moin Khan to work as interim chairman of selectors until new elections

He’s already asked rashid latif about kamran younis. Inshallah we see more superb shots from kamran inthis ramdhan tournament & he could be in.

Yes definetly need more lahori blood, they need to support there youngsters too that do so much effort in first class & are never given any support or encouragement… Test them more & trial them..

yeah Interim Chairman so Interim CS made sense…but this is Pakistan…nothing makes sense over there…
