Wasim Akram didnt make it to test squad , i think his test career might be over …Well lets see!!1
Saeed Anwar isnt in either of squads, well thats bad, he shoud have been there!! But he is the only bad ouster …
Great to see Inzimam and Youhana back,
Kamran Akmal is a good wicket keeper batsman, i think he is being taken to learn from Rashid Latif and gain soem experience !!
Anyways this team is a balanced one with potent bowlign attack and batting capacity… Lets hope they get back to their winning ways :k:
I am very surprised to see Inzi in the test squad, he should be kept for one days only till world cup, we don't want to risk him.
Dissappointed to see Saeed Anwar not being in there, that is bad new, that means Pakistan will have once again go with 2 inconsistent openers.
Muhammad Zahid and Saleem Elahi are 2 more surprises.
Kamran Akmal picked over Moin Khan is another big surprise, I thought he was a definite.
And the best thing is, there is no Imran Nazir :biggthumb
Wasim Akram not being in the test squad only indicates one thing and that is he didn't actually opt out of series against Australia. So all of u blamming him for the defeat :p <--- for you all :D

I hope you know the difference between playing Australia and playing Zimbabwe. We can go with young inexperienced bowlers and still win matches against Zimbawe, against Australia its a much different story.
Admit Fanta Baaji, Wasim opted out because he didn't have the guts to face the strong Aussie batting lineup. If he wanted to stop playing test cricket, why couldn't he completely retire from test cricket.
I am surprise to see Salim Elahi in the squad and it perplexed me to see Inzi in the squad. He should have been rested or atleast picked up for ODI Squad only cuz it follows test cricket and he might be fitter by then. Anyways, I think they should give chance to Kamran Akmal as an opener against Zimbabwe and if he performs well he can take over the wicket-keeping duty after world cup. With a wicket Keeper battign as opener can really strenghten our batting order. Also they didnt select Imran Farhat and Saeed Anwar, that tells me that maybe they wants to try Faisal Iqbal at opening slot in tests along with Taufeeq Umar, which I personally think is a good idea cuz with Inzi and YY back, i dont see Faisal batting in the middle order.

I agree. Wasim Akram should officially retire from Test Cricket and only concentarate in OD. That will clear a lot of doubts about him from people's minds.

Oki jeee just cause u finally admitted that am a baji I admit that Wasim didn't have the guts to face Australia :D (as if thats gonna make any difference) But it was Tauqir's statement and not mine before the Australia tour in which he said "The exclusion of Wasim from the tests against Australia is a result of PCB's policy." It was published in a paper more or else I would have posted the link :p
In any case I think if he thought he couldn't perform against Australia and opted out, he did the right thing even then. (don't forget how ppl at this very forum use to say that he is a burden on the team) Its better to sit out than be a burden on your team. You and me both know that even if he had performed badly no one would have kicked him out of the team, simply because poori team ki performance hi kharab thi how could you have just kicked him out? :D
I would repeat if Zia and Waqar are speaking the truth regardng players opting out on purpose, they shouldn't select them again. If they do am sorry to say they are either lying or are cowards themselves :)
Fanta sister, I m not surprised at Wasim’s exclusion from the test squad, i think they want to rely on youngsters for the Zim series and , in my mind, he will be selected for the south African Tour…
The biggest concern is dropping Saeed Anwar but on the other hand its a good thing if they try Faisal as an opener which is more sensible!
Saleem Elahi is s surprise inclusion and might carry the drinks mostly
Saeed Anwar should have been included for the Zimbabve tour...I don't think Taufeeq Umer should have been picked over Saeed Anwar...he only had one good knock of 88, and after that, didn't do well in other 5 inings.
KARACHI: Famed pacer Wasim Akram has urged his countrymen to show patience with management and back an emerging crop of youngsters as Pakistan’s cricket team rebuilds after its hammering by Australia…
