Paying to have black magic (kaala jadoo) removed

What are your thoughts on paying someone to do this?

Re: Paying to have black magic (kaala jadoo) removed

Honestly I don't believe in countering kala jadoo with anything but your own duas and recitation of recommended surahs for protection.......but if someone does decide to go down this path then the fees should not be exorbitant. I would look for someone that is charging a nominal fee for his/her time only.

Re: Paying to have black magic (kaala jadoo) removed

Yeah. Paying in and of itself is not the problem, the problem is that many times, the guys who charge are fraud and the guys who are genuine don't charge.

Narated By Abu Said Al-Khudri : Some of the companions of the Prophet came across a tribe amongst the tribes of the Arabs, and that tribe did not entertain them. While they were in that state, the chief of that tribe was bitten by a snake (or stung by a scorpion). They said, (to the companions of the Prophet), "Have you got any medicine with you or anybody who can treat with Ruqya?" The Prophets companions said, "You refuse to entertain us, so we will not treat (your chief) unless you pay us for it." So they agreed to pay them a flock of sheep. One of them (the Prophets companions) started reciting Surat-al-Fatiha and gathering his saliva and spitting it (at the snake-bite). The patient got cured and his people presented the sheep to them, but they said, "We will not take it unless we ask the Prophet (whether it is lawful)." When they asked him, he smiled and said, "How do you know that Surat-al-Fatiha is a Ruqya? Take it (flock of sheep) and assign a share for me."

Re: Paying to have black magic (kaala jadoo) removed

so basically the prophet (pbuh) showed that the payment was permitted for it was payment for a certain specialized knowledge....and this is totally allowed.

in the past I had come across a hadees that suggested those who partake in black magic, either in the casting of it, or in the cure of it through the same, are both sinners. anyone know of such a hadees or related one?

Re: Paying to have black magic (kaala jadoo) removed

Who take part in it yes sinner, but those who try to help others through quran and Ruqya..then its a good thing to help someone in trouble.

Re: Paying to have black magic (kaala jadoo) removed

:k: Seek help from Allah (swt) directly. Recite surahs Baqarah, Ikhlas, Falaq, and Nas daily, and stay in a clean state as much as possible (Ablution).

Re: Paying to have black magic (kaala jadoo) removed

Agreed, unless the effect is powerful enough to prevent you from praying/reciting. In that case, you might need someone else to recite for you. But no mumbo jumbo, just Quraan and authentic duas.

Re: Paying to have black magic (kaala jadoo) removed

From what I've seen, it's somewhat hard to find someone authentic. How do you all feel about getting opinions on relationships/marriage from such people? For example- asking about how good a family is before you're married into them.

Re: Paying to have black magic (kaala jadoo) removed

or if you do not know the surahs yourself.
you’d be surprised how many people I’ve met that do not even know surah Ikhlas forget the other three quls…

Re: Paying to have black magic (kaala jadoo) removed

the truth is that you don't need to find anyone if you are able to recite the surahs yourself or have someone in your family/circle recite them for/upon you. even asking the local imam at the mosque should suffice.

as for consulting regarding a rishta.....then no, I don't think that it is okay to consult someone who charges for this. I would much prefer practising istikhara myself than going to someone......

I have this theory that if you are able to read the Quran yourself and to some degree the translation, then you are obligated to perform these supplications yourself as well. As long as you are able that is.

as soon as you defer this task upon someone else and pay them for it, IMO, that is shirking your responsibility and weakening your faith in Allah.

Re: Paying to have black magic (kaala jadoo) removed

Regarding the consultation of scholarly person for rishta, let me clarify with an example: I have heard several times that people take the couples name's, parent's/grandparent's names and ask if the couple's relationship will be strong, if they should be together, etc. Is this Islamically correct? It almost seems similar to something Hindu's do, where they consult with their religious leader on the horoscopes of the couple in question.

Re: Paying to have black magic (kaala jadoo) removed

perhaps you might want to consult with a scholar on this....
my personal opinion is that it is not recommended.

Thank you, Muzna.
