Patiala suits are timeless, that’s why the other types come and go but the classic style will remain. At the end of the day its our own personal opinion and taste that matters. But i think for whatever reason people only think of the gaudy overly flamboyant suits from ages ago.
These days Patiala or even dhoti salwar’s are better with slightly less volume with the pleats draping more downwards rather then puffing out too much like in the past, fabrics like crepe, santoon or silk-satin help with this because of the way the material drops and sways. Also they look more elegant in simpler colors and less busy designs. Contrast with minimalist make-up and jewelry and finish off with some sophisticated heels or sandals.
