Patenting/selling a recipe

Lets say you make something that people think is really good. To the point that people will rather come to you for this food than many of the local restaurants. You use a combination of ingredients, not necessarily all natural. For example you use a Shan garam masala packet, etc.

Is it possible to package these things and sell it? It has to do with meat. I am not saying this is about me, btw. Just need advice.

Thanks.

Re: Patenting/selling a recipe

Im sure its a possiblity. Just be careful with Shaan as it has MSG as a preservative for the taste of the masalas and you would need to list that when offering it to the public.

Thanks sooraj,

I didnt mean Shan specifically, just in general. I will let the person know though.
