well..arent pasta sauces typically real thick? can't imagine boiling thick sauces for more than a min or so without spluttering and getting everywhere..

It’s not practical because when you boil the pasta some of the starch releases but if you don’t boil then your pasta dish will taste ‘gummy’!

Got it CA , that makes sense .. I completely ignored the fact that pasta is starchy …
Queery … for some of the sauces that are home made … for example I make a paste of fresh tomatoes .. and when they are cooking they release alot of water … Initially the idea was to cook the pasta in that bit … but as CA just mentioned pasta is starchy and that taste can ruin the overall taste of the pasta dish :no:
