Can you think of inventions which were or could have been considered miracles of sorts in their times? and how people may have reacted to them.
Like
TV: jeez, how did those people get into this thing?
Telephone: *how is this thing talking to me? *
Toilet paper: What am I supposed to do with it?
Gun: what a cute little decoration peace.. i am gonna gift it to my wife on her birthday

Re: Past inventions and how people may have reacted to them
Well, for the inventions above I was most likely not born when they came out. The things I can think of off the top of my head would be ipod, itouch, ipad etc. I wasn't shocked or reacted like it was some big invention because we already had listening devices (mp3 players). When ipod came out it was the simple kind with a screen and music playing ability. Slowly it revolved to play videos and become touch screen. It all felt like a natural course of technological inventions.
opps, I thought you were asking how we reacted to inventions.

when dynamite was first invented, everyone was so frightened of it and everyone genuinely belived that there would never be any more wars due to the power it had.
Alfred Nobel invented it, and the Nobel Prize named after him

Air Conditioner - Where is it getting all this cold wind from?!
Microwave Oven - I was amazed when we got our first one. lol
Hair Dryer - Again where does all this heat/ hot air come from?!
