I want to know that after giving birth to a baby in karachi , how long it will take to complete all his/her procedures and documentations for applying abroad? After how much time me and baby will be able to go to abroad ? Should we have to make a new passport for the born baby or is it possible to enter baby’s name in my own passport? I want to go to abroad asap after giving birth to a baby , thatswhy please tell me how long whole procedure will take? Thanks !

I don’t have answers to all your questions but I know one thing that you will have to make a separate passport for your baby and before that you will have to register your baby with NADRA. This will approx take you a month (in total). Opt for fast track service at NADRA they will charge you extra but you’ll get the documents in 7 days and in case you have not changed your and (your husband has also not changed his) marital status on NIC card then you both will have to get new NIC card with married status and then you can apply for your baby. NADRA does not register babies whose parents are not married lol

only the registration with NADRA can take upto 7 days (minimum). Passport can take longer time.
