Passion: Positive and Constructive

In the recent history of Pakistan, we had the luck of possessing 2 men with passion. Imran Khan had the passion to build a cancer hospital. The second man was Nawaz Sharif, the Sher Shah Suri of twentieth century. Both of these men built wonders for Pakistan, the new infrastructure, and a brand spanking new state of the art hospital.

What we need now are at least three men with passion to build and construct one project each in Balochistan, Sindh, and Sarhad.

I certainly appreciate the efforts of Imran Khan, infact we were in school when he started his campaign for the cancer hospital and its amazing how everybody supported him wholehartedly. THe hospital remains the best in South Asia and lately I heard that they might open its branch in karachi too.
As for Nawaz Sharif, well I would say when he took the reins of power in his hands, he seemed a very sincere individual. And I know, infact its not a secret how people supported him when he started his 'Qarz Utaro mulk sanwaro' scheme. But what became of that??? where did those millions and millions of rupees go?? I agree that building up of infastructure is a must, as it just not only helps the citizens but is neccessary to support the economy, particularly for an agriculture based economy like ours, its a must.
Though, building a motorway was indeed a good step but just one such thing can't help much. I feel that the government, the provicial governments in particular should focus a bit more on this particular problem. I don't support anysuch thing kay janab we have detonated a nuclear bomb now we are invincible. We have built a motorway, now it will make life easier for the people. Heck thousands and thousands of people are still living in a miserable state.

Yes, I am complaining and for once I want to criticize and register, lest I am regarded as an apathetic citizen. One literally jumps while traveling on these dilapidated roads; the vehicle literally swerves at times while being driven on those pricky, medium sized stones, potholes and depressions as the flimsy upper crust that once gave the semblance of a wide road was washed away by the rainwater. Where there is no water, there are small pebbles and rocks and a whirlwind of dust that makes the life of daily commuters’ all the more miserable.
I feel for those patients and senior citizens who have to travel on such roads. Imagine a pregnant woman, a heart patient in a car who has to go through such an ordeal before reaching the hospital.

So, I totally oppose your basic premise that we need one such mega project and we 'll see the fruits of that trickling down to the common man. Give me a break :) The baluch people will remain in the same state and Gawader might generate employment but thisone projet is not a panacea for all the ills that plague that land.

That's OK. It simply shows that your passion is to "Complain" that happens to be negative in nature.

The thread however was meant to show Positive and Constructive passion.
