I was just wondering how easy/hard is it to get your licence in the US? i mean i heard someone say they took just 10 lessons, 1 hour each and they passed. I’v come from the uk and after a massive 35 lessons (with a stick shift) i took my test…and failed!lol So now my hubby really wants me to pass so he can get me a car. He’s acting like its the easiest thing in the world and that i’ll definitley pass, but im not to sure…what experience to you guys have? how long did it take you to pass and how hard is the actual road test.

i am driving all the time..with a permit..
and its normal for u to fail the first time..u must have been scared or something..i know i was..
when i went for my test..i was so scared when tht mean old blonde lady sat next to me..i did my parallel parking..and i was so happy..tht i hit the curb while turning on to the road..so just focus..and dont be scared
lol..thanks.Thats what hubby says "have confidence" but i get nervous really easily! I didnt even give it another shot in the uk i was sooo upset at failing. I dont want the same thing to happen again :( ...7years later!
if its any consolation, i failed 3 times… first time coz ok i cudnt drive, but 2nd and 3rd time were for parking… if u hit the curb, its automatic failure. I was doing so well during practice but just choked up on the exam :hinna:

apun ki baat manega aur apun ko rep point dega to apan ek advice deta hain ki do not take the road test through RMV but go through some driving school. There are many driving school where the inspector from RMV visits on weekends for road test. They charge more but the test is darn easy to clear. If you go directly to RMV then goona ask so many things...they flunked me twice but when iwent through the driving school i cleared easily.Now i drive like micheal schumakar of bhopal.
