Thanks to Almighty, another air crash avoided.. This time it was Shaheen Air, We really need to check the safety and quality of planes.

KARACHI: Passengers on-board an Islamabad-Karachi fight on Sunday escaped unhurt, when the plane suffered a tyre burst during landing at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, Geo News reported.

The plane of private airline Shaheeh Air coming from Islamabad made emergency landing.

According to details, a passenger plane of a private airline Boeing 737-400 made emergency landing.

While talking to Geo News, a female passenger said the plane is tilted towards left side and water is being poured on to the engines. ‘There are around 150 passengers.’

I have heard that Bhoja's plane was also obtained from 'Shaheen'

Open Emirates to local traffic, if they cant provide safe and secure service.

There is also a news for grounding of a plane destined for Mash’had, after its fuel tank leaked. WTH they are doing with the lives of people :mad2:

They just want to make money. They are taking risks... If a flight lands safely, well and good. Otherwise, its not a big deal for them to lose 100-200 lives. They have insured planes so they won't face any financial loss. They can pay money to the victims families and think that is enough.

The private airlines are definitley the culprits. But the bigger culprit is Civil Aviation Authority and other authories who give clearance to planes and airlines to run those planes and doesn't take any action in the absence of proper maintenance. I guess all these private airlines have their relatives/ friends sitting in these authorities and they easily get approvals for their operations/ planes. Afterall, we are soooo good at corruption.

and at the end of the day for CAA it’s so easy to blame the pilot and his ‘limitations’ :mad:

^ and weather also.

The Western countries have much harsh weather than the weather of Islamabad and their flights are runnning smoothly. Islamabad's weather is nothing compared to that of those countries.

The lightening excuse was also weak for Bhoja crash since the aircraft is made to absorb the effects of lightening. Its a different story if the aircraft is not well-maintained...

I have heard that there was some scare in a lahore bound flight as well.

its sad tht r authorities r not learning their mistakes n without checking maintenence they r allowing flying :(

Allah ka shukar hai,
why theyr not giving due attention towards the decline of aviation in Pakistan…ppl avoid flying from PIA cause of the aircraft’s bad structure,and the sevices they offer really need attention…our plans are not allowed to land in many countries…las time i waas travelling from PIA to karachi ,they without telling the passengers divert the plane in lahore,we were stuck in plane for abt four hours widout airconditiong system working,water shortage in lavatories,some ppl were patients of sugar n blood pressure,some had panic attacks were misreble,ppl were shouting zardari *****some called GEO,wen the crew came to know abt the news team trying to reach the plane to make a report they some how manage to restart the journey …its a longg story after that i never travelled from PIA…:maroush:

Thanks PPP for having appointed corrupt incompetent jiyalas in CAA who are taking money and issuing licences to 30 year old planes...........................................however, against all this outcry and waste of lives, they have one answer ......."zinda hai BB zinda hai"
