punjab is bread basket of pakistan and punjab is bread basket of india no matter how hard you people try to put us down.........did you know indian punjab is just 2 % of indian union but was at some point it accounted for 60 to 70% procent of indian agriculture stuff..............2% of punjabis feeded a monster as big as india and here in pak we are 50 % of papulation we surely can feed china with our soil....we thank god for that which has blessed us with the most the rich fertile lands on this planet without us you will die of hunger and same with indians,so be thankful:D .

Just for the record, I would never support this renaming, but your example seems to indicate that you have no problem with this? I could make the same accusation that Sindhis have failed to merge with the larger community of Pakistanis and instead have regressed within their own communities.
You are right, it was not only the upper class that migrated and no one has said this was the case. There is still a huge lower middle class of Muhajirs in Karachi, but you make it seem like they have all become executives and officers? In fact, many of them survive on daily wages and whatever they have achieved for themselves is through hard work, determination, and the will to educate themselves and their children. How can there have been no scheme of migration when the basis for Pakistan was the land of Muslims of India? Why would people that were not to be included Pakistan have rallied for the cause in UP and other places? What did you think they were going to go in India after fighting for Pakistan?
The “glory” that you talk of does not arise from positions of power, but from the determination and desire to succeed by hard work and merit. Tell me why was there shortage of people to fill those posts in the first place? Why did not the Sindhi Muslims have high positions in post-partition government setup? What stopped them? Hindus? The British or was it there own lack of not wanting to move beyond agricultural and landlord type jobs? And what could have been the reasons why they supported Pakistan?
People with similar background always tend to migrate as groups. This is true for any immigrants, including the Sindhi immigrants to India. They are concentrated around Bombay area. So what were the actions of Punjabi Pakhtun Ittehad, Jeay Sindh, Sindh Police, Rangers and army that killed thousands of innocent Muhajirs? Who wreaked terror on the innocent populace of Karachi because they belong to a certain community asking for rights?
It is due to jealousy that so many people hate Muhajirs, so make up excuses over our relative successes, because God forbid they except their own faults that have left them in the situation they are. Sindhi Muslims themselves wanted to take over left over property of Sindhi Hindus in urban Sindh, but they did not account for India Muslims migrating first. That is the real problem and source of discontent.

Sindh's agriculture is good but UP waale bhaiyyas sit in Karachi like clerks and earn their 2 rupees and eat their daal and saag. Sindh's agriculture is good and driven by the native sindhi population. Punjab has enuf electricity- it doesnt need electricity from the tribal jahils and gas from Balochistan is used for constructive purposes- our arms, ammunition and military. Now, tell me what will happen if we, largely punjabi army stopped protecting our borders and defending our nation against the Hindus.. even if we stop being vigilant for 1 hour, hindus and sikhs will come and finish Sindh and NWFP in a day.. no one will be left to complain :D. What difference does it make to Sindh, Baluchistan, and NWFP by the way if they have to buy wheat from Punjab with hard cash and in inter-provincial trade and higher price than in Punjab? On the other hand, hydrocarbon resources, electricity, water resources, and port cities are under federal control with respective provinces where these resources are located having no control over them.

You are really confused if you think Hindus are the biggest threat to Pakistan today. Biggest threat comes from army nurtured jihadis, and the army itself which has killed and oppressed its own people since 1950’s. Your largely Punjabi army is busy looting and plundering Pakistan. They could not protect East Pakistan and they will never be able to protect West Pakistan. It is the generosity of the Americans that your army establishment has been to keep power for so long. If the US decides to dump the army, you will surrender within a week to any external force.

Kehkashan, this I absolutely agree with! Punjab doesn't have a history of national resistence! Just imagine if a power threatens to bomb Lahore, Faisal Abad, Sialkot, etc. would they resist? One week is a long time, I say they would "submit" within one day. This is what they've been doing all throughout history.
