He did not say ALL Pashtuns. And it is a well known fact that most people coming to Karachi are from places like FATA and Swat, and it is also known that most people in such places are supporters of extremism and violence.

It is a fact, and no one should argue about it.

Thanks … well, you should have told me that it is 5th of those 9 clips. It took me lot of time to find the right one

Anyhow, I could not hear anything different from what is written. Rather, it is more clear when reporter says that many of new arrivals are from North near Tribal area where they have supporters of Taliban (shows that ethnicity is not concern but their fundamentalism is). Even when Mustafa Kamal was talking, it was clear that he was agitated not about Pakhtuns but fundamentalist.

Even though the report did not give question for which Mustafa answered but it is clear from answers that question were about Mustafa Kamal worries regarding new Pakhtun settlers who could be Taliban supporters. Mustafa Kamal answer as I mentioned in above posts is clear that his concern is not about Pakhtuns but Taliban fundamentalists.

Mustafa Kamal: ‘These Pushtons means what? Pashtun means fundamentalists, religiously fundamentalist, religiously extremists, they are coming in … when comes to ethnicity when it comes to Islam they all are, they all are the same’ … clearly shows what Mustafa Kamal means. Then further journey also is concerned about religious fundamentalism … as Mustafa took the reporter for a drive showing sign of religious fundamentalism in the area.

Then mayor took us for a drive

Past squatter neighbourhood

Islamic school

Passed the area where Daniel Pearl was found dead

He pointed to a window … towards bearded man

Mustafa Kamal asked reporter to look at his face. Obviously asking foreign journalist to see sign of fundamentalism at his face … as there is no mention of ethnicity by Mustafa Kamal neither there is any possibility that ethnicity of bearded man could be determined by anyone, be that Mustafa Kamal or Journalist.

All above shows that Mustafa Kamal is showing concern regarding spread of Islamic fundamentalists … and their trying to take control of crucial places in Karachi … shows that number of immigrants is not concern but their location is concern. If concern was about pakhtuns than there should be no worry about their location … but location is worrisome when fundamentalist takes crucial locations as prerequisite of their possible later bid to take over the city.

But it seems that reporter is taking that concern of Islamic fundamentalists as concern about Pakhtuns. It seems that reporter thinks that only Pakhtun are Islamic fundamentalists (as perception is in west) but that is not true as Mustafa Kamal says … as far as ethnicity of Islamic fundamentalist is concerned, be they Pakhtun or anyone, they are all same.

Yes I do that.

No brother Banaras Chowk and Frontier Colony are almost 100%.

now tell me these sindhi fellas are on MQM payroll :cb:

Lateef afridi … president peshawar high court bar …

check the lingo …

and for them Afghanis are more pakistanis then karachiites … instead of sending those afghans back … he wants to send urdu speaking karachiites back to india …

Interesting video. A lot of truth in how Sindh is viewed by most pathans and many punjabis as just another place to earn money and send back to their “mulak”.

Only Altaph Bai can be thrilled with this non-sense. You’ve to work much harder to dig up something really sensational.

what about the second video and the comments made by Mr lateef Afridi .......

I don’t see any one condemning them .............

Hypocrisy at best ... innit ?

Interesting thing is that lots of Afghans have benn settling in the peripheral areas of Lahore, they are mostly in Scrap or selling of wood. But this has not raised any eyebrows in Lahore.

Because they're not involved in local politics yet.

Aap itnay naive hain ya logon ko samajthay hain…is this your source of information to form your opinion…what about a neutral judicial probe to find the facts of 12th May, one of the main reasons why your discredited illegal President had to act against the judiciary…I bet this is the best evidence he could have provided against this enquiry…

I’ll take you back to memory lane and remind you what happened by quoting one of Cowasjee’s articles…
http://dawn.com/weekly/cowas/20081002.htm

For a run down of just how destructive has been the general’s exercise against the judiciary, concise, factual and totally objective, we can do no better than to refer to amicus curiae Qazi Faez Isa’s article on the May 12, 2007 case, ‘Can we ever forget?’ printed on the front page of the Metropolitan section of this newspaper of record on Feb 5.

On May 12 last year in the streets of Karachi, 50 citizens lay dead, 234 were injured, 110 vehicles were burnt, four properties destroyed and the offices of an independent TV channel was attacked. The Sindh High Court constituted a seven-member bench to hear the case. They met and deliberated for almost six months. On Nov 3, President Gen Pervez Musharraf struck. The judges who did not take the fresh oath under the imposed emergency were dismissed. Five of the seven took the oath and two new judges who had been appointed joined them on the reconstituted bench. A judgment was delivered on Feb 4. Inter alia, it stated: “Thus in our view this is not a fit case where the Court should extend interference…” End of story.

President General Musharraf, how low can your government sink? The dead will one day be heard.

Are you implying that they are lesser citizens compared to you and they have no right to indulge in local politics....well my friend this is priciesly the racist attitude people are trying to show you...and in your bias for other etnicities your are blinded to see the obvious...

If you keep your argument on use of illegal arms and ammunition to get themselves heard can have some logic (and for that also you have to critisize everyone using arms to prove your non racist behaviour irrespective of their ethnicity)....but if you critisize them for taking part in politics....sounds very racist!!!
