Well poetry forum isnt just to post poems that we read by different beautiful poets etc.
I thought to type up my feelings how i understand Parveen shakir.
Pakistan has given birth to several beautiful and talented women. I am proud to say one of those great women is Parveen. Her poems have given a different angle to history and to women. She has embraced feelings of a women in her great books. Every single line of her poem shows the inner beauty she had. She is someone who understood women of all kind.
When i read her poems i feel proud of my heritage, culture, traditions and of what i am. Her poems are like breaking through the cage that men have created for women. As far as i have known she is the first women who has given shairi a different angle. From the women’s perspective meaning her deep and true feelings.

kHawaateen mein youN to laakhoN kHawaateen ne shairi ki magar Parweenn Shakir ne jiss tarah Sinf-e-Naazuk ke Tassawurat,jazbaat ki tarjumaani ki hai , agar dekha jaye to uss hadd taak doosri kHawaateen apne in maqaasid meiN Nakaam rahiN hain.
Parveen Shakir ne sirf apni Jazbaat hi ko AyaaN nahiN kyia apni shairi mei balkeh unki shairi meiN har doosri khatooN keh Jazbaa, dukh, Dard ki JhalkiaaN numaiyaaaN hai …!!!

Lehraa rahi hai Barf ki chaadar haTaa ke Ghaas
Sooraj ki sheh pe tinke bhi bebaak ho gaye
Sooraj dimaagH log bhi IblaagH-e-fikr meiN
Zulf-e-shab-e-firaaq ke pechaak ho gaye
jab bhi gHareeb-e-shahar se kucH Guftagoo hui
Lehje hawaa-e-shaam ke nam-naak ho gaye
Saahil pe jitne Aab-guzeedaa the sab ke sab
Dariyaa ke rukH badalate hi tairaak ho gaye
