Looks like Mira Nair would be directing the next Harry Potter film. So like Vanity Fair, looks like Harry Potter would have the Bollywood touch. Harry and team dancing to Bollywood tunes !!!
Patil twins cast for Goblet of Fire
Parvati and Padma Patil have been cast for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and will be played by Shefali Chowdhury and Afshan Azad, respectively. Pictures of the duo are not available at this time. Gabrielle Delacour, the younger sister of Fleur Delacour, will be played by Angelica Mandy. Angelica can currently be seen in Vanity Fair, as can Robert Pattinson, who will play Cedric Diggory.
About 2,000 girls showed up at the open auditions for the parts of Parvati and Padma Patil, which were held last December. For a complete Goblet of Fire cast list, click here.
Sitara Shah (picture) played Parvati Patil in Prisoner of Azkaban. The reasoning behind the decision to re-cast the part is unknown.
Note: Though this has not yet been confirmed by Warner Brothers, CBBC Newsround is an extremely reliable source. Earlier this year, they reported that Robert Pattinson would play Cedric Diggory, and that Clémence Poésy would play Fleur Delacour - both were later confirmed by WB.
Parvati Patil and Padma Patil
Introduction
Parvati is a Gryffindor girl, the same year as Harry, Ron, and Hermione. In the first book, she is mentioned to have a twin sister, but only in Book Four do we learn her name, Padma. Padma is the Hindu word for lotus flower, which symbolizes open mindedness. (Thanks, Jess!) Parvati is an Buddhist goddess from India.
The Goblet of Fire is the book that Parvati has the largest role. When Cho Chang refuses Harry's request to dance with her, he takes Parvati to the Yule Ball as his partner. Her sister, Padma, goes with Ron.
Parvati Patil is a fictional character featured in the Harry Potter books. She is a dark-haired, Gryffindor girl in Harry’s year. Parvati is described by Seamus Finnigan as “the most beautiful girl in the year,” along with her twin sister Padma Patil, a Ravenclaw.
Parvati went with Harry Potter to the Yule Ball, since his crush, Cho Chang, was going with Cedric Diggory. Parvati wore shocking pink dress robes with her hair in a plait braided with gold. Parvati and her twin later joined Dumbledore’s Army.
She has many friends, including her closest friend Lavender Brown. Her favorite class is Divination with Professor Trelawney, although she also enjoyed her Care of Magical Creatures lessons with Professor Grubbly-Plank.

Parvati and her sister are Indian. Parvati's first name is one of a Hindu goddess, the wife of Shiva, and mother of Ganesh/Ganesha. Padma is the shortened name of an Indian scholar and a river in Bengal, a state of India. Patil is similar to Patel, a common surname among Maharashtrians in India.
