I’ve realised that I tend to keep my foubdation very light for weddings and parties. The problem is that it looks like everyday makeup, nothing special. Ladies me needs your help for a reception i’m going to next week
I have a lot of foundations but I dont think i’m using a heavy foundation
Continue to use the same foundation if u're happy with it mkd, you have great skin Mashallah and no blemishes to hide. Play-up your eyes..add-in shimmer or something.. you dont need a heavy foundation!
I so agree with Gina's comment. You only need a heavier foundation if you need to hide blemishes etc. If your everyday base works for you already, there isn't any point to going heavier as it would only detract from you. Like Gina said, if your current foundation is working and giving you a nice even base on which to apply the rest of your foundation, you're good to go.
You can do a heavier eye or brighter lips to get more drama/impact for your special occasion look.

u know what I know exactly what u mean! I wish that too...at parties my makeup looks exactly like everyday makeup, I see girls who look totally different at parties because they wear a different foundation...I still don't know what the secret is....
however did u try using MAC's Studio Sculpt foundation? That is pretty thick...Also their prolong wear foundation is nice for parties too
If your foundations already looks nice and even and gives you a flawless look then adding a thicker foundation will make you look cakey - i definately agree with Gina - play up your eyes/lips?
My skin is finally improving alhumdulilah, so I kept my foundation light the first day of a wedding I attended, and towards the end of the night my foundation seemed to have disappeared and my skin looked so bad in pictures, the next day I decided to cake it up (used liquid foundation before the powder) and the makeup stayed on all night.
