Partitioning software for Windws Server 2003

Hi,

I would like to modify partitions on Windows 2003 Server, something like Partition Magic. I tried Partition Expert but it didn’t work on my server which has a RAID card. Does anyone have any experience with this and can point me in the right direction.
5watery, maybe we can check with our aunty?

Acronis Disk Director worked for me, not sure if it supports raid cards.

Re: Partitioning software for Windws Server 2003

I tried Disk Director Suite trial version and it said it doesn't support RAID drives. I just found Partion Expert so I'm going to try it out tomorrow. I also found the drivers for my old Dell server so if partitioning doesn't work I'm going to whack the server and start from scratch. I'm new to Dell servers so wasn't sure what to do with it. But hey, gotta start sometime.

Is it that unheard of?
Anywho, the server was scratched and rebuilt so all is good. But I'd still like to get answer.

Re: Partitioning software for Windws Server 2003

I am quite sure that there is no utility out there that cna do RAID patitioning out there. Only way that is possible would be to do it outside Windows "safe" enviroment. Even at that, these utilities will be for specific hardware.

I am assuming its Raid 0?

Re: Partitioning software for Windws Server 2003

No I'm trying to do RAID1-5. For RAID 0 u don't really need much, Plus I just needed specifice drivers for the raid controller. When you get into SCSI controllers getting into "safe" environments don't mean much as you are booting with proprietary floppy/CD. So that part of your comment doesn't work either.
