Hi Guys, after my previous post. i took ur advice and met the guy. he seemed like a nice honest guy however he still did not tell us about his previous relationship.. anyways nw its been nearly a few weeks since he came to meet my family and me…he still has not called back yet and hs mum wud nt call either… wht do u think we shoud do? my fams gettin alittle bit worried now,…should we justake hs silence as a ‘no’? or do u think its better if someone from my family calls him and ask?please help…

If the rishta was sent through some middle party, you can ask them. Usually, its not considered good to call the guys side to ask for their response because if they were truly interested, they would have called back. It doesn't mean they are NOT interested. They might be taking time to think or might be looking for other options and might come back after few weeks/ months. Don't think about it too much. Its normal in arranged rishta setting.
After a few rishta sittings, you will know the norms. A guy's family comes over, meets you, have a nice chit chat and then disappears. Those who are interested will get back to you and you don't need to run after them. Once they get back to you and give formal proposal, you take time to say yes or no.
