ISLAMABAD: Maj (r) Tanvir Hussain Syed, the parliamentary secretary for defence, on Tuesday accused the American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of killing Chinese nationals in Pakistan to harm the cordial relations between Pakistan and China, NNI reported.
“Pakistan should improve its relations with neighbours like China, Russia and Iran. The country should cut ties with the US because it can never be our friend,” Syed said during a debate on Pakistan’s foreign policy with special focus on Pak-US relations.
Staff report adds: He stunned the National Assembly (NA) by demanding that the government end its “love affair” with the US and declare jihad against it for undermining Pakistan’s interests. Syed accused the US of conspiring against the Muslim world, especially Pakistan. The US was working with India to create an independent Kashmir, he added. He said the US was supporting anti-Muslim forces to hurt Muslim interests in Kashmir, Palestine, Kosovo, Iraq and Iran. “We should follow the path of Iran and Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrullah to resist the US manipulation,” he said. Syed said the Kashmir issue could not be resolved through talks and the government should open the way to Kashmir for jihadi organisations. “We can liberate Kashmir with jihad in six months,” he said. (Haha, abhey kargil yaad nahi?)
Syed said the ‘U-turn’ in Pakistan’s foreign policy after 9/11 was a tactic to avoid US aggression but the government should not now ignore announcements of “crusades” against Muslims. “We should also reject the US help for which we have to suppress and crush our own people,” he said.
He asked the government to recognise the Taliban as a force in Afghanistan. “Be it the mountains of Waziristan, Kashmir or the land of Punjab, there should be only one slogan ‘Al-Jihad, Al-Jihad, Al-Jihad’,” he said in his concluding remarks amidst loud applause from Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal members.
