Park party menu.

InshAllah we are having a small party for about 8 families (16 adults and 10 kids). The party is taking place in a park where there is not going to be any option of re-heating.

The party is mainly to get the kids out and about. Please suggest foods that can be prepared well in advance as well as do not require heating. I will have my hands full that day so would like to get as much done ahead of time as possible.

Thanks.

Re: Park party menu.

Park parties are always difficult in a sense that food cannot be re heated. However I guess Kababs can be good option too seekh or bihari kabab or Chicken baked boti as they can be preserved in hot pot. Even Haleem remains hot in the hot pot for a longer time. I suggest to use hot pot whatever you cook. But Chicken boti, kababs etc remain good in hot pot for long as well as haleem. With that you can make some grilled sandwiches, even shawarma is good option. Baking chicken roast and wrapping them in foil placing in a big degchi can also help. Once we had party in chnaga manga in Pakistan and my mum took biryani kept in hot pot, after 1and half hour drive it was fresh and warm enough to eat. All you need is an airtight hot pot. I may not suggest pasta or macroni as they get soggy in hot pot in my opinion.
For sweet brownies would be best option or cup cakes.
Cold chicken club sandwich can add to the menu. Dahi barhaas can also be made but they are more snacks than a complete meal.
