We need to deal with this problem because it’s our problem…let’s not worry what our “image”. This is not a PR issue…

Let’s also not pretend that this was a random act from the general Muslim population. These guys were Al-Qaeda. So, at that point there really was little we could do to stop them…we’re targets. Not peers. The halmark of these radical groups is that they sideline and ignore the conservative, traditional scholarship. They have their own religious leaders they follow. And they’ve deemed every ohter muslim as apostates. There’s no reasoning with them at that point.

Intervention must happen before they move over to the radical camp.
