Hiya Guppies yesterday I had a couch potato day and watch Salaam-E-Ishq and also Parineeta and would love to know what you guys an girls think. I loved Salaam-E-Ishq and I loved this film as it is a real tear jerker. So sweet.:jano:
I love films like this and my all time favorites are Madhumati, Mughla Azam and Pakeezah. I also love films like Bhagban and Mother India. Good films with brilliant story lines.

Even though Parineeta came out about two years ago, I still can’t take the songs and this movie out of my mind. I have a lot of good memories with this movie.
I loved the movie and the music. The music was too melodious. It’s my son’s favorite album as well. As a matter of fact he’s been hearing parineeta songs even before he was born (I used to listen to them all the time). Now whenever I play Parineeta songs he drops everything and comes to listen to them.

if u look at parineeta closley then u'll know dat its a copy of devdas apart from the ending (something had to be different)..........i dont like parineeta neither dat girl. vidya balan............

Parineeta is on my repeat list. I really enjoyed it and have watched it a couple of times.
SEI - I watched the first 20 minutes and then sort of left it and haven't gone back. maybe I'll finish it one day when I'm having a couch potato day too :)

hello ??? devdas was another bengali novel and parineeta was an other bengali novel. whenever hindi film industry made films based on bengali novels, they were an instant hit. just to clear your confusion.
the songs and visuals of the film were really good !! my mom isnt too fond of hindi movies, she do watchs them,but parineeta is one of her favs ! but the director changed the story a bit, including the era. lolita wasnt supposed to work and she and her cousin werent sopposed to pass cadbury dairy milk chocolates to eachother, but i guess the director added them to make the story fit for being made into a movie.

Parineeta is one of my all time favorites but the ending was bit too melodramatic for my taste. Still it's a classically great movie though.
I loved salaam e ishq because I watched it on dvd and I fast forwarded through all the scenes that salman khan was in so it turned out to be an awesome movie for me.....salmanless! I find it so annoying when he does that stupid "trying to be cool" accent when he speaks hindi. I don't know why the movie didn't do well. I really didn't have any expectations for it so I ended up loving it with all the couples except priyanka and salman. Akshaye, govinda(surprisingly), sohail and that gori girl were so funny.

Parineeta was great. The settings, the scenes, the songs…everything was such that it really reminded me of 1960’s or old times as it was intended and…
