Parents Blind Love for their Children

I have seen my share of these parents, but my question is, to what extent would you go to support your child? or do you think that the rules of right and wrong changes when the issues are related to our children…
and on the other hand when children know as a fact that their parents will always support them, don’t you think that they can monopolize the situations to their advantage.

My son/daughter is (always) right, is this a matter of self-confidence, over-confidence, extreme self-righteousness or simple lapse in judgment by the parents. I need a lot to learn…

Parents spoiling their kids. They need a slap every once in a while

parents loving their kids blindly is the worst kind of confidence they can give their child.

That's not love, it's a parents own insecutity and incertainty showing us - just as slapping is.

Children need loving, firm and gentle guidance.

Too much of anything is never good,
least of all blind love. Children need the authoritative
beings of parents as much as the loving ones.

Im not a parent so my opinion probably doesnt count, but the bit about supporting ur children and to what extent, is very close to home.

Id kill for unconditional love off my parent, whether it be blind or not.

Although, if the child's wrong no matter what age, its up to the parents to ensure that their children understand the concept of being wrong and doing wrong. I dont think the rules should change.

Theres nothing wrong with givng ur children confidence as long as its a mixture of trust and disipline.
