Parenting Books that should be banned

Came across a discussion about the parenting books that contain advice of hitting/whipping children as young as 4months and other disturbing material. A woman recently ended by killing her adoptive daughter by following the “disciplining rulers” in a book called ‘to train up a child’.

so I was wondering where does the philosophy of using chittar and thappar (that I’ve seen a lot of desis proudly using and recommending it to other parents) fit into this?

Here’s the list of the nasty books:

To Train Up A Child, by Michael and Debi Pearl;
Shepherding a Child’s Heart by Tedd Tripp;
Don’t Make Me Count to Three by Ginger Plowman

Re: Parenting Books that should be banned

And they got published? Dont they have a censor board before publishing material or sth of the sort?

When were these books published?
