hey all!
i was just wondering if any of u have learned through the “Parent Taught Driving” method..whre u get a packet full of papers in mail..and then u have to fill the worksheets and the parents have to fill in logs and write in driving lessons plan..so basically one of your parents have to teach u driving!
NE one???
or is there any other way of getting a permit if you are under 18 besides paying $350 or above for driving classes?

a lot ppl ARE taught driving by their parents. u can get ur permit at 16 in the states.

U can have ur permit..but for that u have take driving lessons ..thats what the rule is in my town!

the way my bro did it is that, my father taught him every thing and just for formaility, my bro booked a few lessons with the driving instructor and the driving insructor goes to him, that you dont need much lessons, so he only took two and after that the driving insrtuctor gave him a sheet which saud that hes ready to take the final test, he did it and passed.

thats how its done, no need to fill in all these logs and what not.

oh well..my dad really didnt teach anything..but he sure did signed the papers..i think this is the cheapest way of goin on abt gettin a permit if ur not old enough

after i got my permit..i started driving arrnd..and then just very recently got my license..without takin any classes

theres this site tht i got my application from..and u basically have to fill tht out..
i think it takes abt 1 month or so..basically u have to compete so many hours..
and the lesson and stuff..thts how i did..u basically have to complete the time reqs. so ur mom/dad have to fill this timetable out..saying tht u complete so many hours..and then u take those with u..to the driving office..and ur mom/dad r suppose to be with u..and then u take ur test..and get ur permit..
after tht u have to wait 6 months and then u can go take a test for the license..

Thanks Aana..i checked this site out..and now i have ordered the packet..
i m starting my college tomm n i work as well so i wont b able to spend much time on it..thats why i was asking if i'll have to fill those logs n stuff!
i hope i get my permit sooN!

u just have to 'complete' 36 hours and i think theres a rule tht u cant do more thann 2-3 hrs per day..
u'll do just fine..on my way to the office i was completing the paperwork

i got my packet a few days ago..seems easy to complete it..
and i dont know y someone told me that u have fill out logs and worksheets and stuff..its really simple to do..
