Pardaa, aur aaj ki Aurat, beypardagi...a status symbol

read somewhere what to know what u ppl think on this point as this man says

**

Ummm solely my opinion.
People very easily criticise women for leaving parda but i think that men are just as much responsible for that. I mean women who observe parda are strictly confined into their houses because of it. So i think firstly build a system which makes it easier for them to observe parda (because its hard enough already) and still be able to live a normal life and then suggest them to observe it.

yes.......and sadly most of ppl think this way.......

this is the problem with mard hadrat....they always try to enforce purdah on women while they keep there bad habits....
islam ask both men and women to observe purdah ...the reason is ignorence of islam and cultural enviroment....

need for replies actually i need what most of u ppl think on ths and wht they say

ladies have faced problems to have proper parda but they have left things and faced the problems but have not left the parda. Besides its a sterotype comment that after having parda they are confined to be in thier houses.

One the day of the judgement you would not be asked for the "mard hadrat's " wrong doings or bad habbits. But all the husbands would be liable for they acts of their wives. Besides just the men are not good doesnt mean that ladies should act bad as well.

Be specific in what you want to say.

If that is the case than we must not expect any lady in proper parda in US or Canada or Australia but there are ladies who have been born there, brought up there and lived all thier lives there yet they observe parda. Dont blam the envirnoment and the culture of what one cant do.

And some have left parda. I mean instead of critising them, men should take responsibility too.And its not all stereotypical view, some of it holds true. They can't go out and play sports or participate in other social activities. If society is molded like wise then it would be easier for them. They way i see it Harat Muhammed (PBUH) first created an islamic society and then parada was made compulsory by Allah. So i think if society on the whole improves (and that is both men and women) than parda problem would work it self out.
And yeah we can't blame anyone for what we do but on the same place i think its not fair to criticise women alone.

My personal opinion is that purdah symbolises a lot of restrictions and double standards. Sort of like the reason you are behind the purdah is that you must not be seen or heard.

I understand that this was not the original intention, but sadly I think this is how purdah is seen by many.

In the end, more than force or custom, people need to believe that they have to observe it.

But actually a question, and this may have been answered somewhere else, and in that case a simple link will do, but is there a choice whether one can to wear it or not?

And is it possible to say well, she is not observing Purdah, bad girl and leave it at that?

Re: Pardaa, aur aaj ki Aurat, beypardagi…a status symbol

i think it’s true but many people use their excuses about how their not ready to wear it coz they do bad things anyway, and in a way if u do do bad things then there really is a hypocrisy in wearing the hijab. What this person is saying is that fashion has taken over, which is true. people r more worried about how trendy they r, how expensive their clothes are etc etc. they dont take the purdah positively which is sad… first, women shud have an “inner” hijab before they can observe the “outer” hijab… correct me if i’m wrong…

1-i am not critising the purdah sis...i just wanted to tell u why males behaved like this.....and purdah is quite different then what most purdah dar families do(which observe purdah as custom like pathans)
2-like women islam wants that males should also observe puradah like not going infront of na mahram ladies etc....
3-i was not talking about purdah but the behavoiur of males.....
