Parcel Service From Pakistan To Canada??

I need some stuff from Pakistan(about 5 Kg.) and I was thinking to get it through Pakistan Post parcel service.Any one have good bad experience or any other comments about the Pakistan Post parcel service.Are they accurate with delivery times.Is there any other service available aside from Pakistan Post.I am not considering DHL, FedEx or UPS as those are much expensive.

It'll get lost for sure.
Whats the point of saving on shipping if you dont get the package.
Stick to DHL its only like $30 for 5kg pack and good service

Muniya, which DHL service specifically is $30 for 5kg parcel? Is it slightly slower than their usual 3-4 time for international packages?

^^ Ive onlyhad stuff sent to me from Pakistan and it cost roughly that much.

It takes about 3-4 days a week max depending on what time the senders takes it to the office.
Fed Ex is equally good but I believe they are pricier

Hmm.. ok. As far as know the international service that takes 3-5 days starts at something like Rs.4,500 for 1kg and goes up for each additional kg. For people with business accounts, the rates are less.

I was wondering if there was some kind of discounted service for larger boxes for non-business. Like TCS do a red box service.

If you decide to go with Pakistan Post then use their 'International Speed Post' service. It's faster and more reliable than the regular post. Takes around 10-12 days.

Thanks for all replies and MuNiYa if it's $30 then I will go with DHL but I thought it would be much higher as Sstoppit said around Rs.4,500/kg.Can you tell me specific name of the service , so I can refer this to back home.

maybe thats the case - I get clothing delivered all the time and i'm sure the person has a business account with them.

I'v always used the Pakistan post express service and i haven't had a problem till now. Try leopard courier in Pakistan too. They are cheap and good too. I think it's about Rs. 2800 to 3000 a kg , with Rs. 6 or 700 per additional KG for Canada. Not sure though.

The cheap DHL rates are for people with corporate or some sort of discounted accounts with DHL in Pakistan. So if your sender has a deal with DHL, you can pay these cheaper rates. Otherwise, aam awaam pays through the nose.

Pakistan Post's ISP's service is totally reliable. You can always go for it.

Please dont risk your parcel. Send your package through DHL / FEDEX thats quick, insured and reliable. Maybe expensive compared to PP but worth it.
