Paradise and Conditional Love

Question is regarding , Love for Allah and Seeking Paradise.

I love Allah and truely believe in HIM and my love is unconditional. But when i think about paradise it looks like i am making a deal because When you expect something in return ,then love becomes conditional. Just like if you start liking someone bcaz he can return a big time favor to you.
Is that good to have conditional love for Allah?

asalamualaiqum brother,

I will try to explain it a little with my bounded understanding rest Allah knows best, baeshaq.

First, I think we need to realize that Allah is closer to us than our jugular vein; the connection between submitter and Allah remains between submitter and Allah and no one else. Allah knows depth of our heart and our soul even more than we do.

So if you truly love Allah (SWT) you find yourself doing acts of worship expecting no reward from Allah other than His pleasure. You will fight and die in the way of Allah only to be nearer to Him and not in order to receive instant reward in Paradise. The way it should be. All thoughts, attention, actions, and words will be directed towards and for the sake of Allah Almighty.

For instance, there are many people out there who face intolerable hardships of life but they have strong faith in Allah, to them anything that brings them close to Allah and continuously reminds them of Allah is not a weak string of His mercy but a blessing and a way that draw them near to Allah. They know that this world won’t last much but the fruit of their faith will. Just take a look around you the clouds, the sea, mountains even the oxygen we inhale is gifted from Allah for us. Without any doubt Allah is constantly Merciful and Generous towards us in spite of all our wrong actions.

In the last we all hopefully know that we don’t go to heaven just based on our deeds, on the contrary, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) told us that we would only enter paradise through God's Mercy, as evidenced in the following hadith.
Narrated 'Aisha (may Allah be pleased to her):

The Prophet said, "Do good deeds properly, sincerely and moderately, and receive good news because one's good deeds will not make him enter Paradise." They asked, "Even you, O Allah's Apostle?" He said, "Even I, unless and until Allah bestows His pardon and Mercy on me." (Sahih Bukhari)

So I guess the answer of your question is that we should have the kind of love for Allah that speaks completely for His glory and our love for Him alone. Carrying out rituals with empty emotions and with little or no spiritual attachment will not satisfy our souls’ longing for attachment.

May Allah fill the void that we have in our hearts and may He showers us with His infinite Mercy and Bounties so that we might seek His love only; that we worship and love only Him and through His love that we love all whom He loves, ameen.
