This one is :yukh: and not just bcus i wouldnt be able to wear it. Even on the girl this girl it looks bad!
My sister wanted mum to make her some pants like that but person personally i dont like them.
I sound really negative, but im not, i really liked some of the other stuff though. Really nice! Thanx for sharing.

Every country has its national dress so does Pakistan. If you don't think shalwar kameez is Pakistan's national dress then what kinda dress do you think is? :)

Actually, I browse among many websites and i've posted up the names earlier in a previous post if you browse thru the other threads in the forum...

but in short,

www.megaeast.com, pakwatan.com, visagepk.com, shemag.com.pk, fashion-pakistan.com, karachiplus.com, and then there are lots of websites of personal designers up...which you can get linked to thru the above-listed websites. If you hit google and enter in Pakistan + fashion or something like that you'll get lots of websites which will be linked to further websites.
A kali-less shalwaar is a shalwaar that isn't as baggy as a traditional shalwaar because of the way they sew the kalis or the joints of fabric (err...kinda hard to describe). I'm not sure exactly how they do it, but I know for a fact that if you go to Karachi and you tell a tailor "make me a beghair-kali wali shalwaar - a kali-less shalwaar - they'll know what you mean". It looks highly stylish and surprisingly, I haven't come across too many pics of them - I'll scan through and post one up when I find one.
As for national dress - I dont think its fair to say the shalwaar kameez is Pakistan's national dress just because the tourism website says so. There are MANY cultures in Pakistan with their own style of dressing - why dont we say that ghagras are our national dress? Why is a churidaar not a national dress? I think we have many styles of clothing and they're all national dresses in a sense. And now, the whole pant fashion is back - it was huge in the 60's or 70's or something - and I dont see why it would be objectionable to accept it as a "cultural" thing at this point in Pakistan's fashion history.
I see what you guys are saying about how some of this is not wearable. Again, this can give you IDEAS about how to make your own clothes - what colors to use, what embroidery to use, what cuts to use, necklines, etc. If you dont want to wear sleevless, tack on sleeves. And also, again, Pakistani fashion is very elitish and yes, its a big fault. So why dont you guys take your complaints and email them to visagepk.com - the editor is usually responds and puts up your comments in the editorial section - and I think you can do that for the other magazines like Diva , She, Fashion Collection, Women's Own, Envogue, etc. A lot of the designers also have their own fashion websites with a contact email - so email them and tell them you like their ideas but you wish they'd make it more wearable for the average Pakistani. Maybe you'll see more designs come out then that are suitable in terms of modesty. :)

Complaining to me wont do anything, I'm not the one designing the clothes.
