I don’t mean Karachi style churidar pajamas but the type they have at shukaronline.co.uk
All the girls in my village wear Tunic-Trouser suits now and don’t wear tent-like shalwars anymore but guys still wear tent shalwars which are very uncomfortable (you have to keep adjusting them to make sure all the creases are even on all sides).
Is there anywhere in ISB, PSHWR, ATK etc. where I can get the trouser type shalwar kamizis?
And who told ya that … you need to take a crush course on desi apparels mate ..
Neither you only wear payjamas to bed nor Chori-daR payjama is the only cut and style available for payjama lovers …
The style and cut varies in regards of culture , age and liking …
And don’t ya worry about looking like a pan Muncher …. ‘ Ganga Jamne pan ki Gilori Utha k mouh mein raktay howay , Aadaab baja la’ne k leay tabiyaaT mein Sadiyon ka racha’oo zarooRi hai ‘
aliyish is 100% correct.
I actually have 2 aligarh cut pajamas, I always thought they looked very nice because my nana an aligarh grad sported them, and they looked nice.
although not a big fan of chooridaars.
I was rocking the look back in 2004 where for a family mehndi instead of a kurta shalwaar I had a black pinstriped kurta and straight cut, pajama. could not find anyone who had that style so had a local tailor stitch it.
I don't know about them being called "aligarh pAyjamas" or whatever, they just look like regular drawstring pants, something you can buy from Next or JJB-Sports, the only difference being the fabric and colour.
Whatever the name, it certainly is far more comfortable and presentable than regular tent-shalwars.

Who cares what originated where?
Somebody insisting on wearing shalwar-kameez instead of pants is no more a Pakistani. Indians and Afghans (the two most anti-Pakistani people in the world) wear shalwar-kameez too (in horrible shokh-chanchal colours/designs in the case of the first and drab colors in the second).
We're living in a global village with a melting pot culture.
Your clothes, food, hobbies, the architecture of your house etc. doesn't define your ethnic identity anymore, these things are universal.
I would personaly only wear jeans n stuff and never shalwar-kameez but people here would think I'm being show-off if I didn't wear it now and then.
