Re: Panjeeri ?
Use some milk instead ?
Never tried and never tested , but I think that should work , because you do not want to keep it all dried up.
Re: Panjeeri ?
And what are the ingredients ?
Almond, Pistachio, saunf, sugar, and ...?
I want it to have a dry(powdered) texture. Not the thicker one.
I hope you understand what I'm trying to say
Re: Panjeeri ?
What's the difference in panjeeri and regular suji halway...is that one is more liquidy than the other? I know my mom once made some for my cousin after she delivered her baby. Is it supposed to be good for women after having had a baby?
Re: Panjeeri ?
Its suppose to be "garam" for you :D and provides "taaqat" to woman's weak (due to delivery) body.
Suji halwa is just that, suji, panjeeri usually has all types of nuts, desi ghee/butter and other stuff in it.

congratz, munny ka name kiya rakha hai?
Re: Panjeeri ?
My mother made it for me each time I had a baby ![]()
I really dont like heavy desi foods so she kept it very light:
Dry roast sooji in a pan together with almonds, green raisins, ground cardamom (elaichi) and ‘charo maghaz’. Sorry dont know what they are called in english!
Add sugat to taste and a little butter if you like and keep it in an air tight container.
I’m sure you can add numerous other ingredients but I liked it nice and light!
