hey
yesterday i got my panjangla, i was kinda surprised cuz it’s not what i thought it would be. It’s the material of my lehnga on the wrist and it connects to 5 rings that have the same material on it…umm i’m like okaaayyy, like it doesn’t look bad, but just never seen it before lol.
so i wante dto get some advice, should i wear it, and if yes, which hand, the same hand which is on the bazou band sideor the other?
hmm depends on ur dupatta setting..it wud look nice..rather its something really different..panjangla wud look gr8 like this!
if ur panjangla is somewhat wide then dont wear anything on that wrist.and make sure its not covered by ur duapatta..
on my baraat day,i wore kalaai bund and that looked so elegant and on other i had gold bangles..bcz i dont like wearing kaanchki chooriyan on wedding..the bride should be filled with gold in a decent way not like the old fashion of wearing 8-10 sets of gold just to show i have 8-10 sets!..so see what suits u
it might be too much.....with the mehndi and the matching panjangla....it will look too busy....try taking a picture of yourself with and without it......then compare it...
u need to go with what suits u and the overall look u are trying to achieve, I have seen alot of brides who wear everything they have to 'show' this is what they have, which ruins the overall look. u want to be the centre of attention for all the right reasons and ensure ur pics come out great! I went to a wedding where the girl had a ring on every sinlge finger with the palanjala, then gold bangles on one hand with arm band, then bangles on the other etc etc it was soooooooooo busy looking and ruined her gorgeous lengha. if ur lengha is a 'wow' piece ur jewellery needs to compliment it and vice verca..............xx
yes sara it was dire! some ppl just want to show how much gold they have and loose all fashion sense in the process..............brides have to remember the pics will be there for life!
Thats...uhm...a little weird....i mean pajangla and rings on the same hand...
Well i had a pajangla on one hand and wore 5 rings on the other hand (believe me it was a challenge to get a ring to fit my thumb lol)....I know antoher bride who did the same, i dont think it looked terrible at all, it lookd quite nice.
i've never heard of a fabric pajangla... i thought they were made of gold or silver usually? sounds nice though. i wore mine on my left hand and then just before the ceremony switched it to the right cos i remember he was gonna put the ring on that hand.
accessorize wisely...too much of anything will look unbalanced...be it kaam on your clothes..too much make up... too much color..jewellery...etc...!! :)
